Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. Wherever you are right now, the glory of the Lord is over your
life. And we're going to pray a very simple prayer coming out of the book of Joshua, chapter 1, verse 7. Jesus. Jesus, strengthen me this morning and steady my heart for the day ahead. Father, I don't know about anybody else under the sound of my voice, but it's a difficult one today, Lord. I've gone to bed tired. I've woke up in the middle of the night tired. I've woke up this morning still tired. And give us steadiness for the day that lies ahead. Holy Spirit, I thank you for every listener on the other side of my voice.
And I pray, dear God, wherever they are situated around the world, that the love of Jesus Christ will carry them. Lord, I pray for each and every one of us. Lord, we feel scared some days, Jesus. Lord, give me strength for this morning. I need strength for this morning, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Steady my heart, Lord. I can't get dressed correctly. I can't think correctly. I can't put my makeup on correctly. I can't do the school run correctly. Lord, I can't do the deliveries. I can't do life correctly. Because, Lord, there's a feeling inside that I don't like. And we don't like this feeling of uncertainty, of being alone, of being scared. Lord, the pots and pans in my head are loud. And Father, fear is making a noise. And Lord, we want peace today. So Lord, we pray as we're getting up, we're getting ready, we kick the duvet off of life. Father, strengthen me
today. Strengthen the listeners today for the day that lies ahead of us. From the battlefield to the school run, from the school run, dear God, to the field of life. Father, from the field of life to the boardroom, to every setting under the sun. Father, if the sun is rising, hallelujah. If the sun is setting, praise be to God. But wherever we are right now, we need Joshua 1:7. Be strong and very courageous. Lord, that scripture feels so far away from me. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey the Lord. Father, help me as a human being, as an individual, as me, just me, just Ben. Help me, Lord, not as pastor, not as chaplain, not as leader, not as any titles. Help me, dear God, just to be me. Help us just to be us. Help us to find that identity. Not dear God in what the world says, but in who God says. So Lord, I believe, Father, that there are many of us lost our identity, wrapped up in what the world is saying. And Lord, we have become weak in a roundabout way. Scared in a roundabout way. Uncertain in a roundabout way. So strengthen us, Lord. Lord, rebuild our hearts, rebuild our mind, rebuild us and bring us to the cross of Calvary. Lord,
at this hour, from London to Copenhagen, from Copenhagen to Warsaw, from Warsaw to Zurich, from Zurich to Lisbon, from Lisbon to Amsterdam, Lord, in the early hour, as the sun is rising, Lord, in this early morning devotional, powerful time together. Lord, as we rise, give us stability, give us clarity, give us strength, give us anointing. Help us focus today as the day starts. We believe in miracles. And Father, wherever we are, right the way through Europe, right the way through the UK, right the way through the world, Lord, we pray that the Spirit of the Lord will carry us because we need our God and our King. I need clarity today. I need strength today, Lord. I am dreading the commute to work. Lord, the kids are making such a noise in the house. I can't think straight. Lord, the relationship is all up the wall. It's hit the fan, it's all kicked off today. Spirit of
the living God, it's still early, Lord, and the day hasn't begun and we're exhausted and we're tired. But Lord, strengthen me. Carry me. Watch over us, Lord. Come Holy Spirit.
