Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. Guess what? I'm gonna tell you something that you already know Jesus is with you. You're not here by chance, you're here because of divine intervention. The spirit of the Lord is over you. God sees the traffic we're sitting in. God understands our heart. He sees us sitting on the edge of the bed. God is wiping our tears. The spirit of the Lord
is over you. What sort of a day have you had? What sort of an hour have you had? What is going on in your life? God sees all things. You are not alone. You are not stuck on that traffic jam of life. Those brake lights that we keep seeing. That rain that keeps falling. The fog that we're trying to commute through. Are you tired of the fog of life? Are you tired of that fog that is in front of you, that's making you stare so hard on the traffic and in life itself? The Spirit of the Lord is with you. The rain is heavy. It's like the world is raining everything on us right now. We're soaking wet, we're tired, we're fed up. Lord, we want change.
So Lord, I pray, Lord, that we won't get caught in the congestion of the world. We won't get caught in the congestion charge of London. Oh no, Jesus. But Lord, right now in the name of Jesus, we won't take any notice of the cameras that keep watching us. Lord, as the world is watching us, Lord, we want to walk by faith. Lord, we're not worried who's watching. We want to follow Jesus Christ. Lord, we come to you right now and we're tired of the watchers. We're tired, dear God, of the curtain twitches in our lives. Lord, we're tired of the traffic jam of life. We're tired, dear God, of trying to conform to the pattern of the world. Lord, we don't want to bounce this way. We don't want to hear these pots and pans anymore. Lord, we want to scrum down on the field of hope.
And today, Lord, we lock together as brothers and sisters around the world. And Lord, we believe that this is the turning point. We believe that this is the breakthrough hour. We believe, dear God, the traffic jam is clearing. We believe that we can see right the way round the motorway of life. We believe that the Dartford tunnel is clear. Now that is a miracle in the name of Jesus.
Spirit of the living God, Jesus, give me peace before we sleep. Lord, the tunnel of life. Lord, as we go through the valley of the shadow of death, Father, as we are on the motorway of life, Father, as we are driving, Lord, and as we are accelerating in the traffic of life, Father, carry the car that we are in. Carry the family. Carry the brothers. Carry the sisters. Carry the children. Carry every one of us. Father, as we are racing through the traffic of life, Spirit of the living God, will you bring peace? Lord, the traffic of life, Lord, the monotony, dear God, of the commute, wherever we are, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the field of life. Dear God, from the school run to the coffee run, dear God, to the McDonald's run to just the general run of life. Father, wherever we are, hoovering, washing, cleaning, we pray for the homemakers. We pray for those that spend all their life making the home beautiful, calm, and respectful. Bless everyone at home.
Spirit of the living God, we pray wherever we are gathering under the sound of my voice, that the love of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, Lord, right here from London to Dublin, from Dublin to Vancouver, from Vancouver to Rome, Warsaw, Johannesburg, Melbourne, we are praying for every one of us. Lord, we walk together, we carry each other. Lord, we ask you right now for peace. Lord, and we believe. For John 14, 27, peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Sisters and brothers, we are on the motorway of life. We are at full stretch. We are at maximum driving speed. Do not worry. Do not let your hearts be troubled as you hold onto the steering wheel of life. As you are watching the lorries to the left and the right, you're watching the signals and the gantries.
As you are driving at full stretch, our lives are at full stretch. Jesus, calm this drive down. Jesus, take the will of this car of life. Because Lord, I can't focus at high speed no more. I can't focus, dear God, the speed that we are traveling, dear God. Holy Spirit, help me to decelerate. Help me to find rest. Help me to sleep. Lord, we are looking for calm. Holy Spirit, Jesus, bring me peace. Calm this drive down. Lord, help us to slow
down. Lord, bring peace to the car of life. Take the will, Lord. Take full control. Holy Spirit, we thank you that the Lion of Judah is walking with us. Wherever you are, never give up. I will catch you in five.
