Welcome
to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. If you've got a prayer request, you can email us at info at dailyprayer.uk. And thank you to everybody that's supporting this ministry.
This is a listener-funded ministry of RB Christian Radio, and to everybody that is on radio right now, whatever your time is, thank God that there's no weather, there's no news report, there's no traffic. It is just pure worship wherever you are. Thank God for your life. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. You never give up, you never give in. You know, God is with you. All things are possible to those who
believe. We're going to jump into 2 Timothy 1, verse 7 in just a few moments. But what we're praying for, we're praying, Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, quiet my thoughts and guard my mind when anxiety rises at night. Father, at this hour, Lord, at this early door, Father, as the sun is rising, as the sun is setting on our lives, Father, as the shoreline of life, dear God, is starting to move. Father, as the waves of life are starting to come into us. Lord, as we get ready for the commute, as we get ready, Lord God, for life itself. Father, wherever we are from the battlefield of the mind, the battlefield of the darkness at this moment, the battlefield of the loneliness, the battlefield of the uncertainty. Lord, we believe in hope. We believe in the power of the Holy
Spirit. And Lord, we thank you that we are grafted into the vine. And at this hour, Lord, through these dark nights, through these moments, Father, we pray that the Holy Spirit will quiet my thoughts and guard my mind when anxiety rises high. Father, we pray, dear God, that that lion won't, dear God, bear down on us anymore. We pray, dear God, that that bear won't growl at us anymore. Right now, at this midnight hour, right through the middle of the night, right wherever we are. Father, we don't want to hear the sound, dear God, of that bear growling, dear God, of the loneliness and the fears and the doubts. Lord, our mind is starting to make a noise. And Father, we pray that you will quieten our thoughts. And we come to you. Holy Spirit, calm this storm that is inside of me. Holy Spirit, calm this storm that is on the outside of me. Holy Spirit, calm this storm that is around me. Holy Spirit, I come to you right now.
Lord, we never get to church, but Lord, I want to get to the cross. Lord, I haven't been to church for years, but Lord, I gotta get to the cross. Lord, I've never been to church, but Lord, I want to get to the cross. Jesus Christ is calling you to the cross. Not to church, he's calling you to faith. He's calling you to the kingdom of God. Wherever you are, this scripture
is for you. It is Psalm 94, verse 19. When anxiety was great within me, you loved me and brought me joy. When anxiety was great within me, Father, I thank you, Lord God, for King David, Shepherd Boy David. I thank you, dear God, for his authenticity. I thank you, dear God, for his heart. I thank you, dear God, for the character of David. Because Lord, I thank you for the beautiful book of Psalms. And wherever we are, Lord, as the Bible says, when anxiety was great within me, Lord, you brought me counsel. When anxiety was in my head, Father, when the pots and pans of life were clanging, Lord, when the traffic jam of anxiety was backing up, when the fear and the panic, the loneliness, I believe, sister and brother, wherever you are around the world, the Holy Spirit is calling you right now. At this hour, as it's so dark, as it feels so lonely, as it feels
quite scary. You know, if you're on the commute, if you're up out the house early, if you're just crawling into bed, you've done a long day, whatever your life is reflecting, from the battlefield to the boardroom. Dear God, we pray from London to New York, Berlin, Mumbai, Auckland, Los Angeles, Father, all the way through to Tel Aviv. Lord, wherever we are around the world, we pray that the Holy Spirit will guard my mind and strengthen me from within. Because, Lord, these fears are rising. Lord, this doubt is around me. Lord, strengthen us today. Lord, we believe in miracles. Holy Spirit, anchor me to your word. Anchor me, dear God, to the cross. Lord, draw me in. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will bring comfort to everyone today that is listening to the sound
of my voice. May the Lord be with you wherever you are. My name is Reverend Van Cooper. I will catch you very soon on the next prayer. Don't go nowhere.
