Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for hope. We gather for faith. We gather for strength. And Lord, we are gathering right now to Lord that we will find our identity. Lord, I pray for everyone wherever they are with me now. Lord, let the love of God just rest over them. Good evening, good morning, good afternoon. Wherever you are at this hour, we're gonna pray together. We're gonna stand together.
We are living in a world that has lost its identity, and we're gonna hold on to John 1 verse 12. You know, we're gonna hold on to the scriptures. We are children of the living God. We are sons and daughters of the God of Israel. We belong to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is in our lives, but there are many that have lost their identity because of work, because of relationships, because of the pressure of life, because of money, because of life. You know, many, dear God, have lost their confidence. I feel that my confidence has collapsed. I feel, dear God, unworthy. I've got emotional fatigue, I've got self-doubt. Come on, let's pray.
Father, in the name of Jesus, wherever we are scattered, dear God, from the battles within, the battles of identity. Lord, this identity crisis that we may be going through, that we may be experiencing, that we may, dear God, be feeling. Lord, I pray that you will reveal to each and every one of us who we are. That we are sons and daughters, that we are born again, spirit-filled, blessed and highly favored, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. So, Lord, I don't want to identify to the world, I don't want to identify to social media, I don't want to be drawn into the crowd of the world. Lord, I want to know who I am because Lord, when I'm in that crowd, when I'm in that social media crowd, when I'm out in the crowd of life, Lord, I have lost my identity because of the pressures of being someone that I'm not.
Lord, when we go out with friends and families and culture and life and work colleagues, I pray that we will not adapt ourselves to what they are doing, that we will not live according to the way that they live. Lord, that we won't, dear God, lower ourselves in certain areas of life, that Lord, that we won't lose our identity in what the world is doing. But Lord, that we will find confidence in standing strong. Lord, that we will find confidence in who we are. And Lord, who am I? Lord, you know, dear God and Heavenly Father, I lost my identity so many times
in my life. Trying to people please, trying to family please, trying to church please, denominational please, life please, this please, every please. You know, dear God, we have lost our identity because we're trying to be so many people, dear God, we're trying to be so many to everyone. And Lord, help us just to be me. Help me, Lord, to be me. Help me to find me again, Lord. Help me to find that person that got lost in fear, that got lost in work, that got lost in business, that got lost in marriage, that got lost in breakdown, that got lost in doubt, that got lost in in understanding that we have who we are, Jesus. Please, God. Lord, it's complicated, Jesus, being a human being. Lord, it's complicated, dear God, trying to match up to all these roles
of what who the world expects us to be. Lord, help me to be who you called me to be. And Lord, wherever we are, Lord, from London to Sydney, Toronto, Cape Town, Amsterdam, Lord, help us to find who we are in Jesus. Help us to find who we are, that we are blessed and highly favored, wonderfully and fearfully made. Jesus, help me believe I am who you say I am. Before you get out of this prayer, before you click me out, let's just remind ourselves, Jesus, help me believe I am who you say I am. You are a child of the living God. You are blessed and highly favored. You are saved, you are a child of the living God. It's not church, it's not religion, it is God. God is with you, He's calling you right now. God knows who you are, He loves you for who you are. If you have lost yourself, I would encourage you to take time out and just read Psalms. Psalm 23, Psalm 91.
Read Joshua chapter 1. Find courage in who you are. Never ever give up. God loves you. I guarantee you that. Never give up. I will catch you on the next prayer. Don't go too far.
