Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. Whatever that time zone is. Good morning, good evening. May the Spirit of the Lord lead us today. Whatever life is bringing down the track towards you, the glory, the love, the power of the Holy Spirit right now, as the day is finishing, as the day may be beginning, wherever you are, whatever time zone, however, you listen to these prayers, maybe you binge listen, maybe you do spread them out throughout the day. However, that works, that is amazing, and that is fine because that is your rhythm.
So let's pray, and we're gonna pray right now, whatever time zone you are, and wherever you are, we're gonna pray, Jesus, carry the weight that I cannot hold this evening. Jesus, carry the weight I cannot hold this evening. Father, as we pray out of 1 Peter chapter 5, verse 7, Father, we are casting all our anxiety onto him because he cares for you. Cast all your anxiety onto him because he cares for you. Father, we thank you that the love of God is over our lives. And right now, Lord Jesus, carry the weight that I cannot hold this evening. Carry the weight of relationship, carry the weight of life, carry the weight, dear God, of the worries, carry the weight of the panic attack, carry the weight of the financial burden, carry the weight of history. Father, I pray, Lord God, that you will help me to let go of my history. Lord, that you will help me to let go of all those areas, dear God, of life where I made mistakes, where I took the wrong rhythm, where I turned down a wrong cul de sac, where I went, dear God, on the wrong slip road of life. Father, in the name of Jesus, help me, dear God, not to carry any unnecessary pressures. Help us to leave it at the cross. But Lord, help me to get to the cross. Help us to get to the cross. Lord, we thank you that the Bible says in 1 Peter 5 7, cast all your anxiety onto him because he cares for you. Holy Spirit, I thank you that you care for us. Holy Spirit, I thank you that you never leave us nor forsake us.
And from the battlefield of life, to the bullets that are firing, to the emails, to the text, to the worries, to the fears, to the boardroom issues, dear God, to the playground issues, dear God, to the bullying, to the social media pressures, to life itself, to just breathing and living. Father, wherever we are, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the walking the dog, to taking the children to school, on a commute run, on a coffee run. Dear God, if we're at home making the home, whatever we are doing, Lord, steady the rhythm of us right now. But Lord, take this weight from us. Take this heavy load that we cannot hold this anymore, Lord. Father, our hands are weary, our bones are tired. We cannot carry the weight of yesterday. We cannot carry the weight of six months. We cannot carry the weight of a year. We cannot carry those areas of our lives. Lord, let the spirit of the living God carry you wherever you are right now. The power, the anointing of God is over your life. Come on, let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus, right here from London, England to Ireland, Brazil, Kenya, Denmark, India, the Spirit of the Lord is over us. From the battlefield to the Passover table. The Spirit of the Lord is
over us. We're peddling out right now on this beautiful psalm, Psalm 121, verse 3. He will not let your foot slip. Let's just take a moment. Father, I thank you that you will not let our foot slip. He who watches over you will not slumber. Holy Spirit, that warms my heart, Lord, because Lord, we make mistakes, Jesus. Lord, we make quick snap decisions. We answer emails and texts. We answer the world in ways we shouldn't. We go down paths we shouldn't. We say things we shouldn't. We look and do. Lord, Holy Spirit, I thank you that the psalmist writes so beautiful in Psalms 121, verse 3. He will not let your foot slip. He who watches over you will not slumber. The Spirit of the Lord is over your life. The power of God is in your spirit.
Never give up. There is a new day. Kick the duvet off this day. Wherever you are, let the Spirit of the Lord lead you. God bless, and I'll catch you in two.
