Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, love, hope, and strength. Thank you to everybody on RB Christian Radio. We thank God for your lives wherever you are, and everybody that is in the back library, the historical podcast, the historical prayers.
Please can you share all this stuff out on your WhatsApp groups, your social media groups, whatever you are doing right now? I gotta say, God is leading you in paths of righteousness. And the prayer is very simple and it is really powerful. And this is what we're praying for, Jesus. Steady my mind tonight when my faults feel unsettled. Holy Spirit, Lord, this is a tough old prayer,
God. And Lord, we're jumping straight into the Lord's Prayer. Matthew 6, verse 13. Lead us not into temptation. Oh my God. Holy Spirit. From the battlefield to the Passover table, from the Passover table to the field of life. Father, the temptations of the world, the temptations of the world. Lord, I pray that you'll keep us strong, that we will walk in the rhythm of heaven. Dear God, wherever we are, from London all the way to Switzerland, Ghana, Canada, Singapore. Lord, these night thoughts, Lord, these these tremors, Lord, these waves of uncertainty, these waves, dear God, of indulgment. Father, these waves, dear God, of the world. Father, tonight rescue us from many situations.
Holy Spirit, you tell us through the book of Psalms 121, verse 7, the Lord will keep you from all harm. He will watch over your life. Jesus Christ is watching over your life. From the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the school run. From the school run to the field of life. From the field of life to the commute. From the commute to the van to the car to the office to the scaffold, wherever you work, wherever you live. If you are doing the shopping right now, may God bless you. If you are a homemaker right now, may God bless you. Whoever you are and wherever you are. Jesus,
steady our mind. Lord, it is early days. It is early doors. Lord, it is the middle of the day. Lord, it is the midnight hour. Lord, whatever our time zone is, Jesus, Lord, steady our thoughts. Lord, it's been a long day. Lord, it's been a long night. Lord, our thoughts are wayward. Father, remove the frustrations, remove the old patterns when it starts to resurface itself.
Father, I pray that the tectonic plates of, dear God, of that repetition that we live, those tectonic plates, dear God, of temptation, Lord, as they move, Father God, and as that ripple effect comes up through the earth and suddenly it surfaces on the on the face of the earth. Father, I pray as those plates of doubt move, as those plates of temptations move, deep down in the skin that we walk in, where no one sees, only you, right within the spirit, right within the heart. Lord, when the tectonic plates move, when the plates of temptation, when the plates of the world start moving, Lord, I pray that you will break all the old habitual habits, that you will break the old way, that we won't be habitual, we won't live by what we did. We won't live according to the rhythm of the world. But Lord, we will live according to the rhythm of scripture. Lord, surround us with gentleness. We need to hear the word of God. Lord, help us to prepare for this
night. And Lord, as temptation rises, as fear rises, Lord, as the world starts to glow through social media. Lord, I pray that we won't indulge in the devil's playground of social media. Lord, that we will rise and we will grab hold of the word of God. Lord, help us to throw open the Bible. Lord, help us, dear God, to be alert. Father, I pray that we will get into the book of Psalms. We will pray through Psalms. We will read through Psalms. Lord, we will meditate on Psalms. I pray that wherever we are right now, from the battlefield to the boardroom, wherever you are, the glory, the power, the love of God is over your life. Don't ever, ever give up, Jesus. Steady my mind tonight when thoughts make me feel unsettled. Holy Spirit, bring that love, bring that grace,
bring that favor over our lives. And right now, Jesus, I pray for such an outpouring of your love, Lord, that we will recognize that Jesus is in our heart. Lord, we thank you that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. That we are grafted into the vine. Spirit of the Lord, carry us today wherever we are in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. I will catch you at the next prayer. See you soon. God bless. Take care.
