Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. If you've got that prayer request, you can email us to the studio, which is info at dailyprayer.uk. Wherever you are at this hour, may the spirit and may the love of Jesus Christ just give you peace at this moment. Come on, we're
gonna pray. What we're praying for, we're praying, Jesus, bring quiet peace and gentle strength to my night. Holy Spirit, I thank you for the listeners wherever they are, whatever their day has been, wherever they are, whatever is going on in their lives. Holy Spirit, right here from live in London, England, all the way from this studio to Brazil, from Brazil to Kenya, from Kenya all the way to Portugal, from Portugal to the United States. Lord, fill this hour with your love because Lord, it's been a stressful day. Lord, it's been a stressful week, it's been a stressful month, Lord, it's been a stressful life. And as we come to the table, as we get to the Passover table, as we try and find a place of rest at this hour, we pray that the love of God and the presence of Jesus will carry us through this evening. And Lord, we ask that Jesus Christ will bring quiet peace and a gentle strength to my night.
Wherever we are, Lord, from the battles that are seen and the battles that are unseen, to the fights, dear God, with the bears and the lions of life, to the fights with fears, the doubts, the worries, the skirmishes at work, dear God, the commute run. Father, that commute run, it's weighing us down, Lord. It's far too long. We're stressed. Lord, we don't want to become robotic. Lord, we don't want to become a commuter robot. Lord, we want to be free. So Lord, I pray as we commute into work, commute out of work, I pray that the joy of the Lord will be our strength. I pray, dear God, in our stretch to work, as our stretch home from work, Lord, that there will be a joyous stretch in our stride. Lord, I pray that our stride of life, Lord, as we travel, as we commute, Lord, as we're at home, whatever we are doing, Lord, if we're a homemaker, I pray that you will bless the homemakers around the world, that you will strengthen the homemakers, that the love of God will be with the homemakers. Lord, I pray for those that are in the shopping areas right now, Lord,
that are doing the weekly shop, the daily shop, Lord. I pray for those that are looking after the family. I ask you, dear God, that you will be with those, dear God, that are preparing food right now. Lord, I thank you for everyone, Lord, under the sound of my voice. And whatever the rhythm of our life is, Lord, we pray that the love of God and the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, Lord, we want to fill the rhythm of heaven. And whatever this rhythm of this day has been like, Lord, bring calmness, bring hope to our spirit. Lord, we believe in miracles. And Lord, I pray that we will take the Bible off the shelf, we will sit,
dear God, at the table, we will sit at the desk, or we just sit on the sofa or the edge of the bed, wherever we are, in the van or the car. And Lord, that we will just find a quiet time to open up the word of God. And we will pray, dear God, through the beautiful book of Psalms. Lord, and we will turn to that lovely gospel of Matthew chapter six, and we will pray the Lord's Prayer. Lord, I thank you that you are our Father in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. And right now, Lord, we believe that we are healed.
I pray for healing over everyone right now. I pray for healing through mental health issues. I pray, dear God, for physical ailments. I pray, dear God, for spiritual things. Lord, I pray for every area of healing that the love of God will heal us. That your love and your mercy, your saving grace, Lord, watch over the listeners, wherever they are at this hour, whatever their time zone is, whatever their battles, whatever their fears are. I thank you that the love of God is over each and every one of
them. Brother and sister, never give up. Wherever you are, whatever rhythm you are walking, wherever you are now, do not, do not ever, ever give in. The glory, the power, the mercy of God is over your life. Life is tough. Life is hard. Life is awkward. It makes us cry. It makes us scream. It makes us throw everything up in the air. We throw our toys out the pram. We go crazy on bananas some days. But you know what? We've got to be holding it tight. Let's get in the word of God. Let's never give up. Let's walk close
with Jesus. And as we pedal out of this prayer, I pray that the love of God and the fire of God will show you that Jesus Christ has never left you nor forsaken you. Holy Spirit, we believe that Jesus at this hour is our peace and our gentle strength tonight. Lord, let the rhythm of the Lion of Judah, let the rhythm of the God of Israel, let the gentleness of the Holy Spirit bring peace to our lives today. May the Spirit of the Lord reveal Himself to you wherever you are. Never give up. I will catch you soon. Don't go too far.
