Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, love, hope, and strength. If you got that prayer request, please email us to the studio, which is info at dailyprayer.uk. Thank you for your prayers. Wherever you are across this world, don't you ever give up. Good morning, good evening, good afternoon.
Welcome as we gather around the word of God, as we gather for these two scriptures, as we press in for prayer. Come on, prayer. Prayer is about to change things. Prayer is changing me. Prayer is changing you. Our God that we serve, He says that I am the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And God loves each and every one of us. We're going to pray, and we're in Psalm 91, verse 4. Whatever your day looks like, whatever the rhythm is, it is 5 a.m. here live in London, England. The love of God is over your life. Jesus, cover me with your wings as a new day begins. Father, we thank you that this new day begins. Lord, as the sun is starting to rise on our day. Father, maybe the sun is setting on the end of the day.
Wherever we are, Father, we believe in the power of the Holy Spirit. And Lord, wherever the sun is in the world today, wherever the moon is, wherever the stars are moving, Lord, whatever the rivers are doing, whatever the seas are doing, whatever the rain is doing, the snow, Father, whatever this weather system is doing, we thank God that you are the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And Lord, you are the creator of heaven and earth. And right now we come to you with our fears and our worries and our doubts. And we say, Jesus, cover me with your wings as a new day begins. Lord, you are the creator of heaven and earth. You are the great I am. You are the Lion of Judah. And fathers, we get ready for a new day. Fathers, we get ready to bounce in a new rhythm today. Lord, we're not going to jump up and down on the trampoline of monotony. We're not going to follow the crowd of life. We're not going to follow the social networks. Lord, we're not going to get indulged in the political arena. Father, we're not interested in the skirmishes of the world. Father, we want to follow Jesus Christ. And today, Lord, wherever we are, Jesus, cover me with your wings as this day begins. Fathers, we kick the duvet off. Lord, as we jump out of the bed. Fathers, we're already on the commute. As we're at the bus stop, dear God, on the tube,
wherever we are at this moment in time. Fathers, we get the kids ready for school. Lord, as we disappear out into the world for the day's work, whatever we are doing, from the battlefield, dear God, to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the field of life, from the field of life, dear God, to the school run, from the school run to the now bar. From the now bar, dear God, to the shopping trolley, from the shopping trolley to every scenario of life. Father, wherever we are, the Spirit of God is with each and every one of us. And today, Lord, cover us with those wings, dear God, as we live our lives, as we mooch down a corridor of life. Father, as we, dear God, just move to the left and the right. Father, I thank you that you are with us, that you never leave us nor forsake us. But right now, right here, live in London, England, all the way from this studio to Brazil, Portugal, India, dear God, Mumbai, Spirit of the living God, we pray, dear God, that you will move, dear God, in the power and the love of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, we want to feel the richness of God. Holy Spirit, Lord, we want to feel your love in the battlefield, in the arena of every situation. But Jesus, cover me with your wings as this new
day begins. Lord, as we put our clothes on, we pull our trousers up, Lord, we put the dress on, dear God, we put the lipstick on, we put our makeup on, Lord, we pick up the satchel, Lord, we pick up our suitcase. Lord, God, we pick up, dear God, anything. Lord, we put the rucksack on our back. We get out of the house and we say, Yes, Lord, this is a new day. This is a new day. The Spirit of the Lord is over each and every one of us. And we believe in miracles. And Lord, as we're on the commute, Lord, as we're just in the circle of life, whatever we are doing, Holy Spirit, I pray for a blanket covering of your goodness and your mercy. And the peace of God will guard your hearts. Father, I thank you for that beautiful prayer, dear God, coming out of Philippians 4, verse 6. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, Spirit of the living God, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the Passover table.
Holy Spirit, lead us today. Holy Spirit, cover us with your wings as this new day begins. Holy Spirit, bring us to a place today. Holy Spirit, bring us, dear God, to a place of freedom. Lord, we thank you for the steadfastness of the love of the Lord. And right now, wherever we are, Holy Spirit, lead us, we pray. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. I will catch you in two.
