We're in Psalms 91, verse 2, and the title of this prayer is very simple Jesus, be my refuge when fear moves quietly through the darkness. Holy Spirit, we come to you, Lord, at this unusual hour. Lord, when we can't sleep, the rhythm of night, Lord, the rhythm
of this darkness. Father, we pray as we lay in that bed alone, as we lay, dear God, in life on our own. Father, wherever we are, Spirit of the living God, we pray for loneliness, that you will take the loneliness away. Lord, that you will fill our hearts, our minds, our
bodies, our souls with the goodness of God. And we will realize that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. And as the psalmist writes and prays through Psalm 91, verse 2, I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Lord, help us to trust you. You are our fortress, you are our refuge, you are our God. And Lord, at this unusual hour, Father, as the sun has decreased on our life, as the sun will rise in a few hours, Father, we pray for whatever battles, whatever storms, whatever private situations we're in at this moment in time. Lord, in corporate life, in church life, in ministry, in school in life, in family, Lord, I pray that we will take courage. We will take courage and not be afraid. As you told the disciples in Matthew 14, 27, take courage, it is I. Do not be afraid. Father, through the storms, through the valleys, through the trials, through the unsettling moments of our lives. Lord, as night brings unusual movement, do God, I pray that we'll hear the Lion of Judah, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords. Father, we want to walk with Jehovah Nisi, Jehovah Jairah, Jehovah Shalom. Lord, we believe in miracles. And Jesus, as we pray through, Jesus, my Lord and my Savior, be my refuge when fear moves quietly through this dark hour. Jesus,
be my refuge when fear moves quietly through this dark hour. Lord, I gotta trust in you. Lord, we want to walk with you. Lord, we don't want to walk in the wasteland, dear God of monotony. Lord, we don't want to go down the corridor of life just moving and mooching along, moving according to the rhythm of the world. We don't want to bounce on the trampoline of monotony. Lord, we want to walk in the kingdom of God. Lord, I pray that you will draw us to the cross. Father, I thank you that your love is unconditional. And wherever we are at this hour, I pray for such an outpouring of your spirit over the listeners. Lord, cover their heart. Be with them, Lord. Take the worries, take the fears away. Jesus, be my refuge when fear moves quietly through the dark. Right here in London, England, all the way from Brazil, Mumbai, Chile, India, and the USA. Wherever we are, Lord, let the love and the rhythm of God carry us from the external battles to the internal battles. I've got to tell you, God is with you. Don't go too far.
