Welcome And Purpose Of Prayer

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, love, hope, and strength. If you've got a prayer request, please email us to the studio, which is info at dailyprayer.uk. Whatever the rhythm, whatever the drum beat, however you are, wherever you are, good morning, good evening, and good afternoon. The Spirit of God is in your heart. You are born again, you are spirit-filled. It is not church we need, it is not religion we need. You don't need me, you don't need the rhythm of all these different denominations. We need the God of Israel. We need the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. It is Jesus Christ that gives us salvation through the very presence of the eternal God. God, Emmanuel, God with us. So I want to remind you right now that this is a time for us to stretch out out of the craziness of day, whatever you are going through. Come on,

Theme From Psalm 91: Steady My Thoughts

let's pray. The title of this prayer is coming out of the book of Psalms 91, verse 5. Jesus, steady my thoughts and lift me above the pressures of the day. Yes, Lord. Father, in the name of Jesus. In the quietness of this morning, as the rhythm of life is starting to heat up, Father, as the pots and pans are rattling in our head, the drumbeat, dear God, of monotony, Lord, the battlefield of the mind, Spirit of the living God, Jesus, as we pray out of Psalm 91, verse 5, Jesus, steady my thoughts and lift me above the pressure of today.

Global Intercession And Everyday Lives

Holy Spirit, we thank you that wherever we are scattered across this world, from here, dear God, from London to the four corners of the world, to Brazil, to Uganda, to India, all the way, dear God, to Afghanistan. Father, we are praying for the love of God, the power of Jesus Christ. Lord, will you move by your spirit? Will you lift the emotional pressure? Will you give us mental clarity? Lord, give us spiritual strength. Lord, at the start of this day, whatever the rhythm, whatever the tribe, whatever the tongue, whatever color we are, wherever we are from this world, Lord, I pray from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the shopping trolley, from the shopping trolley to the barbers, from the barbers to the school run, to the coffee run, wherever we are, Spirit of the Living God, we pray that the fire of God, we pray that the love of God, Holy Spirit, wherever we are, whether we're commuting, whether we're at home, Lord, I pray that you will bless the homemakers, that you will strengthen those that are at home, dear God, working indoors, doing what they gotta do to make the home beautiful and comfortable.

Racing Thoughts And Anxiety To Peace

Spirit of the living God, I pray, Jesus, steady my thoughts. Lord, my thoughts, dear God, feel like a race horse. Lord, dear God, my thoughts just keep jumping all the hurdles. Lord, I can't control my thoughts. They are racing, they are so fast. Lord, it feels like, dear God, a race horse, dear God, at grand national level, racing away, Lord, almost uncontrollable. Dear God, in the name of Jesus, Holy Spirit, calm our thoughts. Lift me above the pressure of today. Lord, remove the panic attack, remove the fear, remove, dear God, the way, dear God, that we live our lives according, dear God, to the way of the world. Father, help us not to live according to the social medias. Help us not to live to the rhythm of religion, the rhythm of church, the rhythm of the way of the world. Lord, we don't want to bounce on the trampoline of monotony. Lord, we want to fill the kingdom of God. And Lord, remind us that we belong to the kingdom, that we are grafted in. So Jesus, steady my thoughts. Lift me above the pressure that is on me today. Lord, bring stability, bring hope, bring power, bring your anointing. Lord, I thank you that we are born again, spirit-filled, Bible-believing believers. Holy Spirit, thank you that you've lifted the emotional pressure. Lord, that you are giving us clarity. Lord, I thank you for the deity. Lord, whatever battles are in, whatever storms we're going through, Lord, whatever the history, Lord, we bring it to the cross right now and we say thank you. Thank you, Holy Spirit, that there is power in Jesus' name. And right now, wherever we are, whatever rhythm we are in, from the battlefield to the boredroom, from the boardroom to the field of life. Jesus, steady my thoughts and lift me above the pressure of today. The Holy Spirit is

with you. And we've been praying through Psalm 91, verse 5, and it says, You will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day. And Jesus says through the beautiful book of James 4, verse 8, Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Wherever you are, don't ever, ever give up. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. I will catch you in two.
