Come on, our history is now to the cross, our present is now to the cross, our future is now to the cross. We are free.
But let's pray. We're praying out of Psalm 91, verse 14. Jesus, hold my heart firm. When the evening feels heavy and slow, Holy Spirit, this evening feels heavy and it feels slow. Lord, the hours, Lord, I pray that we won't clockwatch. Father, I pray, dear God, that we won't time stamp everything. But right now, Lord, I pray that we will rest in the stillness and your love. Father, if we've just got in from work, Father, if we're still on the commute, whatever is going on in the rhythm of our lives, if we are cooking dinner for the children, if we're at a swimming club, a football club, netball club, whatever we may be doing, Father, I pray that you will cover us and carry us. But Lord, I pray that you will take the monotony away. Lord, the drumbeat. Dear God, we're not robots. Holy Spirit, please, we don't want to be very robotic in the way we live our lives. Father, we don't want to live like it. Lord, we want to live in freedom. So Jesus, hold my heart. Lord, and we want to live by the heart. We want to live by faith. We want to live, dear God. Sir Jesus,
hold my heart firm when the evening feels heavy and slow. Lord, wherever we are right now, we're praying through Psalm 91, verse 14. Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him, I will protect him. Father, I thank you for those core areas of that scripture. You will rescue us, you will protect us because we love you. Lord, I want to let the world know that I love Jesus Christ. I want to let the world know that I love the God of Israel. I want to let the world know that I love the Holy Spirit. I love the deity. Lord, I thank you for the love of God. I thank you, dear God, for the scripture. I love your word. Father, I pray that Psalm 91 will carry us through the valley of the shadow of death. And the Bible says, Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him. God is rescuing you. God has already rescued us. God has a plan for our lives. He has that Jeremiah 29,
11 over our lives. God of all comfort. He brings comfort in times of trouble. If you're in trouble, it's not church you need. If you're in trouble, it's not me you need. If you're in trouble, it's not religion you need. It's Jesus Christ. And I've got to tell you right now, get open your Bible. Open your paperback version of the word of God. Turn your phone off and read Psalm 23. Then indulge in Psalm 91. Get in the paperback version of the Word of God. Leave the digital, leave all that alone. Father, we thank you that wherever we are right now, across the world, from the four corners of the world, right here, live in London, England, to Brazil, Uganda, all the way to Canada, all the way, dear God, to Australia. Dear God, let Europe be saved in the name of Jesus Christ. Keep us close, Lord. Keep us close to the cross of Calvary. God is calling you. The sun might be rising, the sun might be setting on your day. Whatever battles you are facing, the Spirit of the Lord is with every one of
us. Father, calm the storm. Calm the storm, Jesus. Hold my heart firm when the evening feels heavy and slow. Father, take my worries, take my fears. Dear God, I pray, Lord, that you will remove the fatigue of the day, the emotional weariness, bring your comfort and your love. Lord, let me live in hope. Jesus Christ loves you. I will catch you in two.
