you so much. And we're jumping into the book of Psalms 23, verse 4. Jesus, walk with me. Jesus, walk with me through every shadow and light my tomorrow with hope. Jesus, walk with me through every shadow and light my tomorrow with hope. Father, I thank you for hope. And Lord, as we walk through, dear God, Psalm 23, as we go through the valley of the darkest levels, I thank you that we are going to fear no evil. For you are with us. Father, we thank you that the comforter is with us.
And whatever our time zone is, Father, across this world at this hour, from every battle station of life, from every war zone of life, dear God, whatever the rhythm of our life reflects, Father, we pray from the four corners of the world to London, from here in this studio to Brazil, all the way to Uganda, all the way to Chile, all the way, dear God, to the United States of America. Father, pour out your spirit on all the islands, dear God, all those islands out in the outer hemisphere. Lord, we pray that your love and your mercy will touch every island, every human being around the world. Lord, we want your love, we want your mercy because Lord, we're tired of the world. We're exhausted of life. Lord, we're weary, our bones are aching, our fingers are tired. Lord, we've worked ourselves almost to death. We are exhausted. Life is wearing
us out. And Lord, I pray that you will take us away from the vision of the world. And Lord, that we won't lean into social media for the quick fix, that we won't look into the way of the world on a Friday night, Saturday night for what the world is doing for a quick fix. Lord, that we will put our eyes on the cross. Lord, I pray that you will keep our eyes on the cross of Calvary. And Lord, from the cross that we will read the word of God, that we will get into Psalm 23. We'll get into Psalm 91, that the rhythm of God will be in our heart. Lord, we want to hear the line of Judah. We want to walk with the Holy Spirit. Lord, wherever we are gathering from the battlefield of life to every setting, to every tribe, to every tongue, to every colour, whatever the language we speak, whatever our postcode, whatever our situation is, whatever the circle of the rhythm of our life we're in, Father, as we walk through the darkest valley, we will fear no evil, for you are with us. Your rod and your staff, they comfort
us. And right now, Lord, at this hour, at the 11th hour, I thank you that you are drawing us to the cross. And Lord, we love you and we bless you. Lord, I love you, God, with all of my heart. And Lord, I thank you for John 8.36. If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. It's not church that will bring freedom. It's not social media that will bring freedom. It's not the way of the world. It's not that area of life on the Friday, the Saturday, the midweek hits from the world. It is not the world that will bring peace. It is the rhythm of the Word of God. It is Scripture. Because Jesus, walk with me through every shadow and light my tomorrow with hope. Father, I thank you for your word. I thank you for your presence. But right now, cover us in the blood of Jesus. Bring us to the cross of Calvary. Father, we thank you that our sins, our history, our present, and our ahead, whatever lies ahead, Lord, is at the cross of Calvary. We will fear no evil because Jesus, walk with me through every shadow and light my tomorrow with hope.
