We're in Psalm 91, verse 4, and we are praying out. The title is Jesus, meet me in the morning light and erase the weight that I cannot carry alone. Jesus, meet me in the morning light and erase the weight I cannot carry alone. Father, we are carrying baggage. Lord, we are carrying baggage. And Lord, we thank you for the cross. But Lord, I need to leave stuff at the cross. Lord, I'm carrying fears, I'm carrying doubts, I'm carrying worry, I'm carrying guilt, I'm carrying pain, I'm carrying loss. We're carrying so much stuff, Lord, and it is weighing the walk down. It is weighing us down, Lord. Father, will you help us to leave it at the cross? Because Lord, we thank you for the power of God. And Lord, wherever we are scattered across the four corners of this world, Holy Spirit, whatever land, whatever trial, whatever situation we're going through, whatever culture we come from, Father, we pray that the love of God, we thank you, dear God, that we are here live in London, England, all the way from London to Brazil, from Brazil all the way, dear God, to Saint Paulo, from Saint Paulo to Peru, all the way to Chile, to Argentina. We pray for such a move of the Spirit of the Living God. Lord, we need your love, we need your mercy.
But right now, Lord, we dive straight into Psalm 91, verse 4. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. Lord, we're carrying stuff and we gotta leave it. Lord, we've got to come to this refuge. We've got to come to a place of rest. Lord, our spirits feel a little bit agitated. We feel a bit unstable at this hour. Father, as the sun rises, as the sun sets on our lives, whatever battle, whatever trial, whatever situation, whatever corridor we're walking through right now, Lord, we need the love of God. We need the beauty and the power and the majesty of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Father, as we face a new day, Lord, as we start to kick the duvet off, Lord, as we finish a night shift, as we get ready, dear God, to take the children to school, to go on a commute run, whatever we are doing, the circle and the rhythm of our life, Jesus, meet me in the morning light and erase the weight that I cannot carry alone. Lord, we are carrying a lot of baggage. Lord, these suitcases are weighing me down. Lord, this rucksack, dear God, of unforgiveness, this rucksack of fear, this rucksack of doubt, this rucksack of pain, this rucksack, dear God, of what went on years ago. Lord, will you cut the straps of this rucksack? Lord, will you get my hands off the suitcase of worry? Lord, I want to walk free. You tell us the Son sets you free and who is free indeed. Lord, I thank you that your word is power, your word is life. But right now we need the spirit of the living God. We need the power of
God in our lives. Lord, because we need to let go of the suitcase of worry, the suitcase of doubt, the suitcase, dear God, of trauma, the suitcase of yesterday, the years, dear God, we don't want to carry any more trouble, any more drama. Lord, we need the morning light. Lord, so will you erase the weight of our history? Lord, we know that the cross has erased everything out. We know that the blood of Jesus has wiped all things away. But Lord, my mind is carrying the weight. Lord, my thought pattern, dear God, my cognitive processing. Lord, I am carrying the weight. Lord, I'm carrying suitcases in my mind. Lord, I'm carrying the suitcase of life. I'm carrying the suitcase of fear. Lord, and it's affecting the rhythm of how we walk. And Lord, I want to pray right now that we will feel the love of God and the Spirit of God. Whatever trial, whatever tribulation, whatever we face, whatever valley, whatever mountain we climb, we believe that the love of God, whatever battle, the internal battles, the external battles, the fierceness of life, Lord, I pray right now, as the sun starts to rise in our life, will you give us inner relief? Dear God, will you let our souls rest? Lord, we need inner hope. We need the power of God, Spirit of the living God. I pray that you'll carry each and every one of us from the battlefield to the school run, from the school run to the field of life. Whatever our life looks like, whoever we are, whatever corner of the world we come from, Father, we pray that the fire of God will help us to rest in the refuge, in the presence at the cross of Calvary.
Father, we thank you that Psalm 91, verse 4 is over our lives. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. The Spirit of the Lord is with you. I'll catch you soon.
