My name is Reverend Ben Cooper. If this is the first time you're listening to the sound of my voice, thank God for you. Thank God for you wherever you are. Thank God to everybody that's been with us since lockdown and come all the way up the
track of life. The Spirit of God is with us. We are not here by coincidence. We are here by divine favor. God is calling us to pray. God is calling us to the word of God. God is calling us in these very unusual days in which we live. God is calling us to the cross of Calvary. It's not church we need. It's not me that you need. And the title of this prayer is so easy.
Jesus, steady my mind as the day opens, and the silent pressure starts to rise too quickly. Holy Spirit, Lord, as the pressure of the day starts to rise, we're feeling the rumble, Lord. We're feeling the trauma. We're feeling this day, Lord, already live here in London, England. Father, we are praying. We can feel the earth moving. Lord, we can feel the land under our feet. Lord, we can feel the text coming in. We can see the email on the screen.
Lord, we've got to go through a pressurized day. And Lord, whatever this day brings down the track of our life, Father, we thank you that Psalm 91, verse 5 is for each and every one of us. You will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to the King of Glory. We rest in the house of the Lord. Father, from the van to the car, from the car, dear God, all the way to the bus stop. From the bus stop to the tube. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, whatever our life looks like, whatever the circle, Lord, we don't want to hear the noise of fear rising. We don't want to hear the trouble of rising. Lord, we don't want to capture what the world is doing. We're, Lord God, we come to you right now. We don't want to get in the rhythm of what's happening in the UK and the rest of the world. Father, we want to hear the voice of God. We want to walk, dear God, with Jehovah Jirah. We want to walk with Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. Lord, we want peace. We want the love of God. We want favor to descend on our house. We want the glory, Father. We want to hear the latter-day rain. Father, we don't want to hear the rumble of trouble, dear God, in the garden of uncertainty. Lord, we want to feel favor. We want to feel
the love right now. Holy Spirit, as we walk through the forest of life, Father, as we walk through the deep forest of life, Spirit of the Living God, we pray that those shadows, dear God, that those bears, those lions, and those tigers, Father, Lord, that you will disperse them at the name of Jesus Christ. And as the silent pressure starts to rise, Lord, we hear it, dear God, in the jungle of life. We hear it, dear God, down the corridor of life. Father, we pray that you will keep doors closed on the corridor, on the journey. Father, as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil. For you are with us, your rod and your staff, they comfort us right now in the middle of trouble, right in the middle of the email, right in the middle of the text, right in the middle of the social media battle, right in the issue at work, right in the issue at home, in relationships, whatever we are riding through, whatever we are traveling through, we pray that the fire, the love of God, the Spirit of the Lord will carry each and every one of us. Jesus, steady my mind. Holy Spirit, steady my mind. God, steady my mind as the day opens up the silent pressure that rises too
quickly. Lord, that silent pressure, like that tsunami wave, Lord, the wave is out, and then all of a sudden we see on the horizon of life. Father, we see over the shoreline. Father, we see this wave, dear God, that is uncontrollable, that is unstoppable, the wave of fear, the wave of doubt. Holy God, wherever you are right now, we need you, dear God, because this wave, dear God, is chasing us. Lord, we're in the forest, dear God, and we're hearing noises we don't want to hear. Lord, we're walking through the valley of the shadow of death, and we need our God. Lord, I thank you for Psalm 91, verse 5. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day. Lord, all the way from London, all the way to Brisbane, from Brisbane, all the way to Lisbon, from Lisbon to Portugal, from Portugal to
Spain. Lord, let the Lord, dear God in the name of Jesus, carry us today. Father, we pray at the start of this day, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to Nalbar, from the Nalbar to the barbers, from the barbers to the hairdressers, to the Hoover, the washing machine, the tumble dryer, dear God, to the dear God to the field of life. Come on, Jesus. Holy Spirit, fill us today, Lord. We are in trouble,
but we're not, because the King is with us. Dear God, I pray. For the battle lines of life. Holy Spirit, bring calm. May the Spirit of the Lord bring joy to your life today. Never give up. Jesus Christ is with you. There might be silent pressures that are rising in your spirit, but God is with you. I'll catch you soon.
