Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, love, hope, and strength. It is that hour. What has your day been like? What has your hour been like? Good morning, good evening, good afternoon. We are here live in London, England. It is approaching, just gone eight o'clock live right now in the studio.
And the title of which we are praying for is Jesus, hear my evening cry. How are you feeling? God sees your tears, He hears your heart. Jesus, hear my evening cry and bring peace to the battle that moves within me. Jesus, hear my cry and bring peace to the battle that moves within me. Holy Spirit, you are the God of Isaac, Jacob, and Abraham. You are El Shaddai. You are that Jehovah Jirah. You are the God above all gods, and you are our king. You are the king of the Jews. You are the bread of life. You are yes and amen.
And right now, Lord, at this hour, Lord, we've just got indoors, we're exhausted. We're on the commute home and we're weary. Lord, we're just getting out of bed and we're still tired. Lord, as we kick the duvet off of life, Lord, wherever the sun rises, wherever the sun sets on our day, whatever the hour, whatever the moment, Jesus, hear my evening cry and bring peace to the battle that moves within me. Father, at this hour, Lord, at this early evening time, I pray, Lord God, hear our cry. Lord, whatever the time zone is in our lives, Lord, hear this battle cry. Lord, hear this cry from within the heart. Lord, our lips are not moving, our eyes are not reflecting how we feel. Dear God, we are not twitching in the way that we should according to the battle that sits within. But Lord, there is a battle in our head, there is a battle in our mind. There is a battle that we have brought up from historical junk. And Lord, we gotta get rid of this junk in the trunk. And Lord, we're tired of this junk. We're tired, dear God, of the battle of yesterday. Lord, no one knows what we are battling except me, myself, and I. Holy Spirit, it was now to the cross of Calvary. It is gone, it is finished. Lord, you're not even looking at our history, but Lord, I'm battling in the way that I was. I'm battling in the way that I used to be. We're battling with certain people in our history. Lord, the battle of history, Lord, it's not leaving us. Father, we need a miracle.
And you tell us in Psalm 91, verse 15, He will call upon me and I will answer Him. Lord, we're calling it in now. We're calling it in now, Lord, because we have carried this inner battle for too long. Lord, this battle that keeps moving within my spirit. Every so often it rises. Every so often I get dragged to the battle of yesterday. I get back, dear God, to the battle of what was, from the battlefield of life. Lord, we don't want to go into the old battles, Lord, because they was nailed at the cross. And there is freedom in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. And from the four corners of this earth, all the way, dear God, to Lisbon, to Miami, to America, to the United States, dear God. Father, we pray for the outer Hebrides. We pray for every island. We pray for every land. We pray for all humanity. Lord, the battles that we face, Lord, bring peace to this battlefield. Lord, we're tired, we're weary, we're exhausted, and Lord, our soul is crying. The inner battle is loud, but Lord, it is so loud the outside world cannot hear it. Lord, the outside world looks at this skin that we walk in and they say, They're all right. But Lord, there are battles, Lord, that we can't deal with. Lord, we need the divine, we need our God to dig deep into our lives. But Lord, we want to walk in 1 Peter 5, verse 7. Cast all your anxieties onto Him because He cares for you. Lord, I've got to let you into a little secret, Jesus. I've cast it more times than I've had up dinners. And Lord, I don't know what to do anymore. Lord, I keep casting, I keep casting, and Lord, will you help me to keep casting? Because Lord, actually, I'm tired of casting all my anxieties onto you because you care for me. Lord, I know, I know that there is a
rhythm, the rhythm of the Lion of Judah, and whatever anxieties are rolling in the skin that I walk in. Lord, I've got to be relentless. I've got to keep speaking it out. Lord, I've got to cast all this anxiety out. Lord, I've got to be like a fisherman. I've got to keep casting that. I've got to keep casting the net. I've got to keep casting the fishing line. Lord, I gotta get it out. Lord, I've got to get it away. I've got to empty my nets. I've got to get rid of it. Lord, I want the bin to be empty. Lord, I don't want to keep bringing the waste of yesterday. I don't want the battles, Lord. Holy Spirit, as the battle rises within me. Lord, as the anxiety rises within me. Lord, we don't want to carry the rubbish of yesterday because the rubbish is starting to smell. Lord, we don't want to carry the rubbish of fear, the rubbish of doubt, the rubbish of broken relationships. We don't want to carry the rubbish, dear God, of all the battles we've been from. Lord, we don't want to carry, dear God, any souvenirs of what was. Father, we want to be clean. We want to be set freed. And Lord, we thank you that the battle belongs to the Lord. But right now, Holy Spirit, we call on the greatest name in heaven and earth. Bring peace. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are, don't go too far. I'll see you in two.
