Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, love, hope, and strength. If you've got a prayer request, please email us to the studio, which is info at dailyprayer.uk. That is info at dailyprayer.uk. Thank you for the hour that you're joining us right now. We are live here in London, England, and it is 12 a.m. It has been a wonderful day, it has been a wonderful week.
Whatever has been going on in your life, wherever you are, we're going to pray right now. It is the 12 a.m. hour. I bet you're tired, I bet you're weary, I bet you're exhausted. But this is what we're praying.
The title of this prayer is coming out of Psalm 91, verse 1. Jesus, calm my midnight thoughts and let your shadow become my safe rest. Jesus, calm my midnight thoughts and let your shadow become my safe rest. Father, at this hour, dear God, at one minute past 12 here in this studio, Lord, we're praying for the love of God, the presence of God. Lord, wherever we are, I pray for every tribe, every tongue, dear God, every color, every area of life, whatever our birthplace, whatever our culture, whatever this rhythm is tonight, Lord, I pray that you will bring complete rest. Lord, we need night rest. We need your protective shadow over our lives. Lord, we need gentle peace. Lord, we need our minds to calm down. Lord, it has been a long stretch. It has been a long day. And right now, Lord, we are praying for peace. Holy Spirit, Lord, as we dwell in the shelter of the Most High. Lord, as we get into Psalm 91, verse 1, whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Jesus. Bring calm at this midnight
hour. Holy Spirit, whatever battle we've been fighting today, Lord, whatever Goliaths have been in our lives, Lord, whatever Jericho's, dear God, whatever fortified cities have been in our lives today, Lord, whatever the traffic jam of life has been like, dear God, whatever the commute has been like, Father, whatever the family atmosphere has been like today, Lord, we need calm. Will you help us to calm down? Lord, will you help us to rest in the mighty presence of God? Lord, some of us are wound right up, some of us are fuming. Some of us, dear God, are just frustrated with life itself. And Lord, I pray for peace over every heart at this hour. Jesus, calm my midnight thoughts and let your safe shadow become my safe rest. Lord, I need a safe rest. I need a place where I can rest in the name of Jesus Christ. And we thank you for the word of God. Jesus, at midnight, settle, dear God, the world. Settle everything. Father, bring peace. Let your shadow shadow, sorry, become my safe place. Let, dear God, that presence, let your glory, let your love.
Tonight, Lord, we choose to dwell in you. Lord, we are not going to drift. We're not going to wander. But Lord, we choose to dwell in the shelter of the Most High. Lord, we thank you that you are our shelter, you are our trust, you are
our hope. Whatever battlefield we've come from, whatever today has looked like, Father, from the four corners of the world, right here, live in London, England, all the way to Brazil, from Brazil to Portugal, from Portugal to Angola, from Angola to Cape Verde, from Cape Verde to Argentina. We're praying for an outpouring of your spirit. Whatever battle, whatever crisis, whatever valley, whatever mountaintop experience we've had. Lord, we pray as we pedal out of this prayer that the Spirit of the Lord will be each and every one of us. Holy God that you are, do not leave us, do not forsake
us. I've got to tell you right now that Jesus Christ is in your life. Don't ever give up. Whatever your time zone is, the Spirit of the Lord is with you. I will see you in two.
