Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, wherever you are right now, what sort of a day you've had. Oh my lord, Holy Spirit, what is going on around the world? What is happening at this moment in time? Jesus, come on, Lord. We see the signs of the coming of Jesus Christ. Father, I pray for every listener wherever they are. I thank God for their lives right now, Lord, at this hour right now, as the sun has set here in London, England. I pray whatever your rhythm is, whatever your drive is, whatever your life is reflecting right now, that we will draw close
to Jesus Christ. And we're going to jump straight in to the prayer. We're going to jump into Matthew 11, verse 28, and it says, Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Lord, I pray for the listeners that Lord God that they will find rest in Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, Jesus, God of Israel, in the quiet time of this prayer, Jesus, draw me into your rest tonight and lift the weariness that still lives in my spirit. Lord, Holy Spirit, God that you are, draw me into your rest tonight.
Lord, we want to calm down the rhythm of the speed of life. Father, it feels like, Lord, we're watching these jet aircrafts. It feels like that is our life. Lord, that we're at full throttle and we're dodging the missiles of life. And we're in mid-flight. And Lord, we are tired. And Lord, we are burning a lot of fuel. We are burning a lot of energy. Lord, and we are getting these tanks, these fuel tanks are running dry. Holy Spirit, Lord, we're watching and we are dodging the missiles of life. The missiles of social media. The missiles of relationship. The missiles of school. The missiles, dear God, of text of emails, the missiles, dear God, of HR offices, the missiles of work problems, the missiles, dear God, of life. Holy Spirit, we feel like we are like a fighter jet. Lord, as we are watching these news channels. Lord, as we crisscross the skies of life, Holy Spirit, will you help us to calm? Lord, will you help us to land on the runway? Lord, we gotta get out of the air. Lord, we're running out of fuel. Lord, we're at full stretch, at full flight, and Lord, we are weary and we are tired and we can't keep this pace up anymore. Spirit of the living God,
we're calling on the greatest name in heaven and earth. From the four corners of this world, Lord, we need to draw on the word of God. Lord, because these fuel tanks are getting empty. Lord, the energy is going. There is fatigue. And at this hour, Lord Jesus, draw me into your rest tonight and lift the weariness that still lives in our spirit. Lord, I pray that you will remove the grip from the system from the four corners of the world, right here from London, all the way to Columbia, from Columbia to Miami, from Miami to Australia, from Australia to Booger Crest, from Booger Crest all the way, dear God, to the Seychelles, from the Seychelles all the way to Israel. Lord, wherever we are across the world, Lord, you've got to be our salvation. Lord, you've got to be our hope. Lord, because these missiles are being fired. Lord, and we, dear God, are doing acrobats in the air just to keep alive. Spirit of the living God, I pray that favor will fall. I pray that rain will fall over our lives. Lord, we believe in the power of the word of
God. And Lord, we rest in Psalm 62, verse 1. Truly, my soul finds rest in God. My salvation comes from Him. Holy Spirit, I pray at this hour that you will land our life on the runway. Holy Spirit, Lord, we can't fly anymore at this speed. Lord, I pray that you will bring us down and Lord that we will get on the runway, Lord, and we will get into the shelter, into the presence of Jesus. Lord, when we get down on the runway, Lord, Holy Spirit, will you refuel us? Holy Spirit, please refuel these tanks because we're running on empty. Lord, we are dodging this and we are dodging that. Holy Spirit, bring, dear God, Lord, a lightning move to our spirit. Lord, give us deep rest. Lord, awaken our hearts at this hour. Father, wherever we are, from the battlefields to the boardroom, bring peace, we pray, in the greatest name in heaven and earth. God is with you. I will catch you at the next prayer.
