We're gathering for faith, we're gathering for hope, we're gathering for strength, and we're gathering to pray for one another wherever you are. Good morning, good evening, good afternoon. But it is 10 p.m.
here live in London, England, and we're praying out of Psalm 121, verse 3. Jesus. This is the title. Jesus, hold me through this night and steady my spirit as I settle into your rest. Holy God.
I just want to say thank you, dear God, to everyone of you that is with me right now, everyone that is listening, everyone that is praying for us, everyone that is sowing a prayer and sewing a financial three-pound gift into this ministry, and everybody on RB Christian Radio and all those that are trundling through the back prayers and the archives of uh this prayers and these podcasts that we've done from lockdown to now. Whether you're a new listener, whether you're an old listener, wherever you are, thank God for you.
Come on, we're gonna lock shields. We we need you to carry us. You know, you gotta carry us because we're carrying you and we're carrying one another. We're locking in. When we're tired, we need you to be strong. When you're tired, we will be strong. We lock together like a rugby scrum. We lock in and we push against the opponent. We push against the world, we push against everything because the world is trying to trap us, the world is trying to freeze us, the world is trying to tell us that God does not exist us. But we cannot listen to the rhythm of war, we cannot listen to the rhythm of social media. We've got to listen to the power of God. Come on, let's get straight
in. Jesus, hold me. Holy Spirit, hold me. God, hold me, hold me through this night and steady my spirit as I settle into your rest. Lord, how do we settle into your rest? Lord, I think and I believe it's through the Word of God. I think and I believe it's through Scripture. Lord, I think and I believe it's through prayer and through worship. Lord, I don't want to think my way into your rest. Lord, I want to believe my way into your rest. And Lord, from the four corners of this world, every battle, every trial, every exhausting experience today, Lord, it's
10 p.m. here in London, Father, and we are tired and we are weary. Lord, our head is aching because of the news. Our fingers are tired because of work. Lord, the kids are running round the house. Everything is breaking out. Lord, we've had a run at work today. We need strength. We need your love. Father, I pray for those that feel scared at this hour. I pray for those, dear God, that are absorbing the word war in their spirit.
I pray, dear God, that you will remove that word war out of their spirit. Lord, and I pray right now that they will hold on to you. Lord, that they will get in the word of God, that they will fill the line of Judah, they will fill the rhythm of heaven. Lord, and whatever their time zone is, as the sun rises, as the sun sets, Lord, I pray for the love of Jesus Christ over every listener right now, from the four corners of the world to every town, every city, every drumbeat, every heartbeat.
Lord, every area of our lives, Lord, whatever we've captured today, Holy Spirit, will you wash through us? Lord, will you let your love just permeate over us through us, Lord? We thank you for everyone in our circle. We thank you for everyone in our life. But Lord, we come to you right now as an individual and we say, Jesus, hold me. Lord, I pray that you will hold the listeners, that the Holy Spirit will hold you, that God will hold you, that the word of God will hold you in the steadfastness of his love. Jesus Christ is with
you. And the psalmist writes in Psalm 121, verse 3, He will not let your foot slip. He who watches over you will not slumber. God does not slumber. He is with you at 10 p.m. He is with you in the morning, in the evening. Lord, from the battle cry to the war cry.
Holy Spirit, Lord, as we are in the shopping uh places right now, Lord, as we're feeding the children, we're at the washing machine, the tumble dryer, Lord, we're on the commute home, Lord, we're we're taking our uniform off, Lord. We're getting, Lord, our onesies on, our PJs on, Lord, we're taking the makeup off, Lord. We're just laying on the bed because we're exhausted.
Holy Spirit, carry us right now, Lord, from the battlefield of life to the field of life, to the rhythm of life. Lord, we thank you that life is beautiful because you are in the rhythm of life, and whatever we face, Lord, draw us closer to you.
But Jesus, hold me through this night and steady my spirit as I settle into your rest. God is with you. Let's lean into Scripture and trust in Jesus Christ. Without further ado, I'm out of here and I'll catch you very soon.
