Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper. We are live here in London, England. Good morning, good evening, good afternoon. But if you're in the UK with me right now, it is 11 p.m. Without further ado. The title of this prayer is coming from the beautiful book of Psalms 91, and we are staying in the rhythm of Psalms for quite a while yet. I believe that the Lord is holding us here. We're in Psalms 91, verse 14. This is the title of this prayer at this hour. Jesus, stay near. Jesus, stay near me in the night and let your presence carry me in tomorrow with peace. Holy Spirit, that is so true. Will you carry us into tomorrow with peace? Lord, we don't want to go into tomorrow with fear and doubt. Lord, we want to walk into tomorrow with your love, your mercy, and your saving grace.
But Lord, we're carrying stuff. That stuff is getting heavy. Lord, sometimes we don't even know what stuff we're carrying. We just feel the weight and the atmosphere of the world. Lord, I pray that we won't lean into social media at this time of night. I pray, dear God, that we won't lock onto the war channels on the screen. I pray, dear God, that we won't listen to the sound of the barrel and the price of oil. I pray, dear God, that we won't listen to the war cry from every war room, from the political agenda around the world.
But Lord, that we will listen to the word of God. I pray, Lord, at the 11th hour right now, Lord, that we will rest in the scripture. And Lord, that we will just sit down and gather our thoughts and just say a simple prayer of Jesus. Stay near me. Lord, I'm tired. Lord, I'm even getting worried about commuting into the city. Lord, I'm worried, dear God, about the traffic jam of life. Lord, I'm worried, dear God, about the food in the supermarkets. Lord, I'm worried about those vessels stuck in the shipping lanes. Lord, I'm worried, dear God, about the sound of war. Lord, one minute I'm hearing it's nearly finished. The next breath I'm hearing we got a long way to go. Lord, I don't know what to believe, but Lord, you tell us you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
I pray for every passenger jet that is in the air right now. I pray that you will carry, dear God, every passenger jet to safe havens. Lord, I pray, dear God, for all those, dear God, that are waiting for the aircraft to land in the airports. I pray, dear God, as we just listen to the rhythm of God. Lord, will you bring stability to our voice? Lord, will you bring stability to our home? Will you bring stability to the rhythm of our life? Will you bring stability to work? Stability, dear God, to family and friends. Lord, the neighborhood in which we live in. Lord, bring peace to the neighborhood. But right now, wherever we are, scattered, whatever tribe, whatever language, whatever colour, whatever rhythm, whatever season we are in right now, Jesus, from London, all the way to Lanzarote, from Lanzarote to France, from France to Colombia, Peru, and Chile.
Lord, we believe in miracles. And Lord, we lean into Psalm 91, verse 14. Because he loves me, I will rescue him. Father, that's all I need to know. Lord, we need rescuing from the sound of war. Lord, the battlefield of the mind, the wasteland of the mind. Lord, help us protect us and rescue us from our own faults. Rescue us from social media. Rescue us from the news channels. Rescue us from just the general run of life. Father, as we walk down the corridor of life, Lord, as we go through the valley of the shadow of death, Holy Spirit, be with us. Lord, I pray for those that are trying to sleep. I pray for those that are kicking the duvet off, getting ready for work right now. For those that are getting dressed, putting their uniform on, putting their lipstick on, their makeup on, their foundation on, combing their hair, putting their coats, putting their jackets on, putting the kids in the car. Lord, to the school run to the battlefield. From the battlefield to the field of life, to the four corners of every setting under the sun. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you. Jesus says through the beautiful book of Psalms 91, verse 14, because he loves me, says the Lord. I will rescue him. I will protect him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. God is with you. Don't you ever give up. God bless you wherever you are across this world. I will catch you at the midnight hour. God bless.
