Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper. We are live here in London, England. Come on, let's jump straight into prayer. I hope you're well. Good evening, good morning, good afternoon. It is early doors live here in London,
England. Wherever you are gathering to listen to the sound of my voice, without further ado, we're in Psalm 91, verse 2. And the title of this prayer is Jesus. Be my refuge in the deep night when my mind cannot find peace and my spirit fills alone. Holy Spirit, Lord, this is a long prayer. Lord, this is a deep dive. I want to pray, dear God, for everyone that is with me at these unusual hours. I want to pray, dear God, as the sun rises in their life. Lord, as the sun sets, Lord, I pray for blessings to fall on everyone that is with me now. But Lord, be our refuge, be our strength.
Lord, our mind cannot find peace. Lord, our minds are racing. We are overthinking. We are over-analyzing. We are over-looking. Lord, we are over-engineering life itself. And Lord, help us not to be fixated. Help us, Lord, not to lock in, dear God, onto the sound of war. But Lord, help us to listen to the rhythm of the
scripture. So Lord, I pray, Lord, as we stretch out from London all the way to Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile. Lord, we are expecting breakthrough. We are expecting the love of God. Lord, I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Lord, I thank you for Psalm 91,
verse 2. Lord, I thank you that your word is El Shaddai. Your word, dear God, is the lily of the valley. Your word, dear God, is Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. Your word is the way. Lord, we come to you in Matthew 11, 28. You tell us, Come to me, all of you that are weary and heavy laden, and you will give us rest. Lord, we need rest. Because all we are hearing is the sound of the drumbeat of war. All we are hearing is the sound of the drumbeat of trouble. All we are hearing is the sound of the drumbeat of social media, the political drive. Lord, we need peace. So we come to you, Lord, in this dark hour, Lord, on this unusual rhythm of the night. Lord, be our refuge, Lord, in the deep night, and help my mind, Lord, because we cannot find peace
and rest. But Lord, we believe in miracles and from the four corners of this world, to every scenario, to every sunset, to every sunrise, Lord, we pray for every battle, for every storm, for every mental health thought right now. We are praying, dear God, that our hearts will be opened, our minds will be healed. We lean into scripture. Dear God, I pray that you will be that refuge. I pray that you will be that strength. I pray, dear God, that you will be that place where we can just come under the shadow of thy wings, that we can find peace. Lord, we're tired and we're weary. Lord, we got life fatigue. Lord, we are worn and we are tired. Lord, work, life, home life, relationships, children in and out, Lord God, moving in and out of life. Lord, the rhythm, the four seasons of life. Holy Spirit, we need our God and our King. And we come to the cross of Calvary and
we lean into the Word of God because Lord, there's nowhere else to go. There is nowhere else to go but Jesus. So Lord, I thank you that you are our refuge in this deep night when my mind cannot find peace and my spirit feels alone. Lord, I pray for all those that feel alone at this hour. I pray, dear God, that you will wrap your arms around everyone that feels alone and feels scared. Lord, that we won't fixate, dear God, on what the news is saying and what social media is delivering. But Lord, that we will trust in Scripture. So we call on the greatest name in heaven and earth from the battlefield to the boardroom to the field of life. I thank you that the Spirit of the Lord is over each and every one
