Welcome From London

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Bane Cooper. We are live here in London, England. Wherever you are right now, the rhythm of God is over your life. It doesn't matter how our lives look, it doesn't matter about our present, our future, our history, because everything is wrapped up in Jesus. Come on, I'm saying this a lot lately just because it's the rhythm of the world.

Refusing To Fixate On The World

SPEAKER_00

Let's not lock on to the wall, let's not lock on to what the world is doing. I believe God is calling you. You're not listening to the sound of my voice by chance. Jesus is with

you. Come on, we're gonna jump straight into Psalm 91, verse 4. This is the title, Jesus. Cover my life with your faithfulness. Jesus, cover my life with your faithfulness as the morning begins and new mercies arise. Holy Spirit, we pause. We just pause a minute, Jesus, and say, Lord, give us breath. Holy Spirit, we pause right now. Lord, help us, dear God, at these early doors of this day. Father, as the sun is gonna rise, Lord, we pause and we just breathe.

Naming Fear And Money Worries

SPEAKER_00

Holy Spirit, we just pause because we're scared and we're worried. Lord, but we're frightened, Lord God, of the future. We're frightened of the now because Lord, the cost of living is escalating. So Jesus, cover our lives with your faithfulness. Holy Spirit, stop us worrying about the money. Stop us worrying about the fuel crisis. Holy Spirit, cover our life with your faithfulness. As this morning begins and new mercies arise. Father, as the sun is gonna rise, as the sun lifts, dear God, across the shoreline of life. Holy Spirit, Lord, as we're here in London, Father, we pray right now for the first light of dawn. Lord, as the first light of dawn begins to rise, God, as we kick the duvet off. Lord, as we are getting agitated about work, Lord, we don't want to get out of bed. We're tired and we're weary. Lord, I can't face the day. Holy Spirit, how many listeners are with me with this one? Lord, I can't face the day. Lord, I need your new mercies to rise, dear God. Like, dear God, an eagle out of the ashes of trouble. Lord, we got to rise on the wings as of eagles.

Refuge Under His Wings

SPEAKER_00

Holy Spirit, we lean into the beautiful book of Psalms 91, verse 4. Lord, we believe that you will cover us with your feathers, and under his wings we will find refuge. Your faithfulness, your faithfulness, your beauty, your majesty, your faithfulness will be our shield and our rampart. And Lord, we pray, Lord, Holy Spirit, just cover us in your love right now. Lord, cover us, dear God, in your presence. We need the word of God. We need the spirit of the living God. And Lord, from the battlefield of life, Lord, to the four corners. Father, as the sun rises, Lord, we lock on to listeners, dear God, across London and Brazil, Chile and Peru, Portugal and Canada. Lord, at this hour, Lord, as we join for this devotional time, Lord, wherever they are listening to the sound of my voice, Lord, we want to rise today. Lord, we want to walk, dear God, in boldness. We want to be braggadocious about our King. Lord, we don't want the world to grab hold of us. We don't want the fear of yesterday and today. Lord, we want to walk, dear God, in your love and your mercy. Father, will you just put your loving arms around us?

New Mercies For Today

SPEAKER_00

Lord, you tell us in the beautiful book of Lamentations, chapter 3, verse 22, because of the Lord's great love. Let's pause. Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed. For his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness. Holy Spirit, because of the Lord's great love for us, we are not consumed. His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. Father, we thank you for the battles of life. From the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the school run, from the school run to the coffee run, from the coffee run to the commute to the bus stop. As we kick the duvet off, as the sun rises, Lord God,
