Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. We are live in a studio in London. Wherever you are, we're stretching out across the world. The love of God is over your life. We are in the beautiful book of Psalms 91, verse 9, and the title is Jesus.
Place your protection around our homes tonight. And guard every heart under each roof across this world. Holy Spirit, guard every heart. Lord, the hearts are heavy, the hearts are worried, the hearts are scared. And Lord, we pray for protection, dear God, for those that are living in war zones. Those, dear God, that are living on the front line of life. Lord, we pray for protection in the greatest name in heaven and earth. And right now we come to the cross because, Lord, there's nowhere else to go. We come to the scripture because there's nowhere else to go. And Lord, we need the rhythm of the love of God.
And Lord, we thank you, Lord, that we are found in the house of the Lord. And Lord, we are not talking about religion. We're not talking about the brick buildings. We're not talking about those that have got steeples and statues. We're talking about the house of the Lord. The kingdom of God. We're talking about that beautiful
place known as the kingdom. Father, we thank you that the kingdom is within. The kingdom of God. And right now, Lord, we pray for every home, for every house, for every human being. We ask, dear God, for protection and love and mercy and your saving grace. But Jesus, place your protection around every home tonight, guard every heart under every roof. Jesus. You tell me, if I say of the Lord, the Lord is my refuge and make you my most dwelling, no harm will come near us. Spirit of the living God, we call on the greatest name in heaven and earth. And Lord, at this evening, as it settles across the world, we pray together for listeners across Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Australia. And Lord, wherever we are, I pray that this prayer tonight will bring a pause and a moment and just realize that Jesus is near. Let's just calm it a moment. Let's just take a moment. Jesus, bring calm to every heart. Lord, we don't want to listen to the war cry. Lord, we're not interested, dear God, and what they are saying. Lord, we need to know what you are saying. So right now, Lord, protect us, carry us, and anoint us. But Lord, in the middle of
this prayer, Lord, we just want calm. Lord, wherever we are, as evening starts to accelerate, as dawn might be rising in our lives, Lord, we need favor. We need the favor of God.
Lord, we're worried about the fuel costs. We're worried about feeding the family. We're worried, dear God, about paying the bills. We're worried about the fuel in the vehicles. Lord, we're worried about our jobs. We're worried about our lives. We're worried, dear God, about mortgages and rent. We're worried, dear God, what is going to happen next. So, Lord, I ask you that we won't look at what's going to happen next, but Lord, that we will look into Jesus
Christ. Lord, that we will get a Bible and we will open that word up and we will say, Father, thank you that you are protecting us, that my God shall supply all my needs according to thy riches in glory. And Lord, we thank you that the goodness of God will never fail us. Lord, your faithfulness, your strength, your love. You are our refuge. You are our protection. Surround everyone at this hour. Jesus, walk with us. Let us feel your love. Let us feel your saving grace. Let us feel your mercy.
Holy Spirit, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the school run, from the school run to the coffee run, to the shipping lanes of life, to the corridors of life, to every aircraft, to every airport, to the vans, to the cars, to the quietness of the sofa, to the stillness of the bed, to the rhythm of life. Cover us, draw us, protect us. But Jesus, place your protection around every home tonight and guard every heart under every roof.
The Spirit of the Lord is with you. Everything is going to be okay. Don't go too far. I'll catch you at the next prayer. God bless.
