Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are, the Spirit of God is with you. I gotta tell you right now, come on, let's be faithful. What do you mean? Let's be faithful. Let's be faithful to scripture. Let's trust it. Let's walk in it. Let's move in
it. Let's just walk through the valley of the shadow of death now. It is 10 p.m. What do you mean? I don't want to walk through the valley of the shadow of death. We're walking through Psalm 23. The Lord is with us. When you look at the state of the world, every situation is under threat in our lives and your lives. Everything is a battle. Everything is hard. Everything is exhausted. But we got to rise right now. We got to walk through the valley with confidence, with faith and boldness. Because God is with you. Wherever you are, he is wiping your tears. Wherever you are, he's carrying your heart. He's with you in the rhythm of your day. Jesus Christ loves you.
The title of this prayer is coming out of the book of Psalm 91. Jesus, quieten my thoughts tonight and lead my heart into rest. Yes, Lord, lead our hearts into rest. Lord, we are tired, we are weary, but Lord, we're hopeful. So Lord, I thank you for every listener that's with me. Lord, I pray that we will pause and we will be still through this rhythm today. Lord, whatever the time zone is, whatever the culture, whatever the language, whatever the rhythm, the colour, wherever we are being birthed, Lord, we believe that God is with us because you're omnipresent, you're omnipotent, you're in all, you're about all. And at this 10 p.m. hour, Lord, we just say, Jesus. Lord, we want to fall in love with you over and over. We want to fall in love with that word. Lord, we want to have, dear God, that that walk, dear God, that still walk with you. Father, as we walk through the valley of life, as we go down the cul de sacs of life, Lord, as we do a U-turn. Lord, as we walk on the motorway of life, Lord, as we're in the forest of life, Father God, wherever we are, through the dark corners of this world, Holy Spirit, let your light shine. Lord, let your light shine and lift our hearts into rest. Lord,
through these quiet moments. Lord, maybe it's still noisy at work. Maybe it's noisy, dear God, in the van. Maybe it's still noisy at home. Maybe, dear God, it's just noisy in my head, but there's no one else in the house. But there is so much noise. There is so much noise in my thoughts. Lord, all I'm hearing is the clanging and the banging of the pots and pans, the wasteland of the mind. Lord, the wasteland, Lord, is tiring. The wasteland is exhausting. So Jesus, quiet my thoughts tonight and lead my heart into your
rest. Father, we thank you that we are broadcasting across the world. And Lord, we call to every listener right now. And Lord, as we broadcast these daily devotional prayer times, Lord, I thank you to everybody on RB Christian Radio. I thank you to everybody that is prime with us and standing with us. Thank you for those that are sowing a seed into this ministry, three pounds a month. Thank you to everybody that's in the archives. But Lord, we need quietness tonight. Lord, we need stillness tonight. Lord, as the evening deepens, Father, as listeners, as we broadcast right out of London, right across Brazil, Mexico, Spain, New Guinea, Lord, I thank you, dear God, for Australia. I thank you, dear God, for the outer hemisphere of life. Lord, wherever people are gathering under the sound of my voice, we need miracles from the battlefield to the thought pattern of life. As we climb the rock face of life, Father, as we crisscross the globe, as this evening deepens and the day draws close to an end, we pause together before God, allowing his word to quieten our thoughts and steady our hearts. Don't go too far. Listen to the rhythm of the Lion of Judah. Open the word up and rest in Psalm 91. God bless. I'll catch you at the next prayer.
