Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your day. You know, as we release nine prayers across this day, the love of God is over your life. Without further ado, the sun has set live here in London, England.
We're in John 14, verse 1. And the title is beautiful. Jesus, calm my heart tonight. And quiet and every trouble that has followed me through this day. Oh yes, Lord. There's been trouble today. Lord, there's been stress, there's been worry, there's been panic, there's been doubt. Lord, it has all been beating the drum. And right now, Lord Jesus, calm my heart tonight.
Every heart, every rhythm, every heartbeat right now, every part of our hearts, Lord, we pray for the muscle of the heart. We pray that our heart will be strong. We pray that the blood flow will be around our bodies. We pray, dear God, for the our heart generally, Lord. That heart that gets bruised, that heart that gets sore, that heart that gets split into. We pray that you will heal hearts right now. And Jesus, calm my heart. I pray for those, dear God, that have got 50-50 thought patterns going on right now. I pray for those that have got 50-50 doubt in their life. I pray, Lord, that we won't be 50-50, that we'll be a hundred percent in for Jesus Christ. So Lord, every heart tonight. Let there be a quiet rhythm. Lord, I pray
for every heart, every thought, every mind, every body, every soul. Jesus, calm my heart tonight and quiet and every trouble that has followed me through this day. Lord, every area, every email, every text, every situation, every area of work, every area of life itself. Father, from the commute to the battle stations of life, Father, every trouble that has followed us today, I pray, Lord, it will melt like wax. I pray, Lord, as the evening unfolds. I pray, Lord, as the sun has descended, I pray as the rain falls, as sure as the snow will fall, as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, and the moon, Father, is lifting in the heavens above, as sure as nature moves in the rhythm of creation. Jesus, calm our heart tonight and quieten every troubled situation that has followed me through the rhythm of this day.
Lord, I want to go back a little bit further. Lord, I don't want to just talk about and pray about the troubles today. Lord, I want to pray for every trouble that has followed us up the corridor of history. Lord, every area of life that has come through our corridor of life, I pray, Lord, that it will go tonight. I pray for those that are worried, dear God, that they just can't get out of the situations they're in. Those that are panicking, those that are worried, those that are worried about the situation around the world. Lord, I pray today, Lord, that we won't lock on to the barrel of oil. We won't listen to what's happening in the shipping lanes of life. But Lord, that we will fall in love with Jesus Christ and we will realize that there is victory through the voice of God, that through the voice of God, through the word of God. So, Father, as we read the word of God, Lord, as we hear the voice of God speaking loud and clear, Lord, I pray for every trouble that we carry today, it will melt like wax.
Father, I thank you for John 14, verse 1. The Bible says, do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust in the Holy Spirit, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He's with you wherever you are across the world. The love of God is with you. The Spirit of the Lord is over your life. I thank God for your life in every scenario, from every sunset, from every valley, from every language, from every tribal situation, every rhythm of life, the spirit of the Lord is over you. Never ever give up from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the field of life, to the dance of life, to the skipping rope of life, to the bounce of life. Wherever you are, I pray that the fire of God may the Lord carry you if you've got home from work right now. As you're getting your clothes off, your uniforms
being chapped across the bed, you're putting your onesie on, you're putting your PJs on, you're getting ready for the rhythm of tonight. Jesus, calm my heart tonight and quiet and every trouble that has followed me through this day. Spirit of the living God, wherever the listeners are. Father, I thank you that there is power in the greatest name in heaven and earth. Stay with us, return, and pray with us. Don't go too far. I'll see you in a minute.
