Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your day. You know, it is late live here in London, England, wherever you are, the rhythm of God is over your life. The love of Jesus Christ is with you. Let's just quickly remind ourselves that the love of God never fails. Great is thy faithfulness. We are in Psalm
4, verse 8, and the title of this prayer is beautiful. Jesus, let me lie down tonight in peace and trust that you are watching over me. I want to tell you that God is watching over you. I want to tell you right now that the love of God is in your life and the Spirit of the Lord is with
you. Father, I pray that you will bless the listeners. Lord, from the four corners of this world. Lord, whatever has gone on today, I pray for peace. Whatever has happened, Lord, through the midday sun. Whatever has happened, dear God, from the early door of the day. Right now, Lord, as we lean, Lord, into the late night time, Lord God, I pray right now, Lord, as we lean closer to 12 o'clock midnight. Lord, as we get closer to that time, I pray, dear God, and I ask that the Holy Spirit will bring peace to every heart, every mind. But Jesus, let me lie down tonight. Let me lie down in peace. Lord, I want to lay down in the rhythm of the word. I want to lay down in the rhythm of God. I want my heart to be bouncing in the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord, I want that quiet rhythm. I want that bounce of the word. Lord, I don't want to listen to the heart cry, Lord of the world. Lord, I don't want to engage in social media. I don't want to listen to the rhythm of the world. Lord, I just want to listen to the rhythm of God. Lord, I thank you and we believe that you are watching over us tonight. We believe that your hand is over us. Lord, whatever today has brought to the table of life.
Lord, as we've climbed the rock face of life. Lord, we've climbed all day. Lord, our hands are tied. We've been climbing. Lord, we've been hanging on the ropes of hope. Lord, we thank you that your word has carried us through our lives. And Lord, when we reflect over your word, your mercies are new every morning. And Father, we thank you for the beautiful Psalms of David, Psalm 4, verse 8. In peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety tonight. Lord, as this world, as this day suddenly closes its eyes, as the eyelids of the world start to close, Spirit of the living God, I thank you as we broadcast out of London, as we reach listeners across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, all the way to Brazil. Father, let your love be poured out. Father, we thank you that you crisscross every heart. Lord, that you are omnipresent. You are omnipotent. Lord, we believe in miracles, but Lord, we need the hand of God.
Lord, we need to rest tonight. Lord, we brought stuff home that we shouldn't bring home. Lord, we got stuff in our head that shouldn't be there. Lord, we're worried about workplace issues. Lord, we're worried about the cost of living. We're worried about the cost of the finances, Lord, in our lives. We're worried, dear God, about the diesel pump, about the fuel pump. Lord, we're just worried about certain rhythms of our lives. And Lord, help us to rest tonight. Jesus, let me lie down tonight in peace and trust that you are watching over us. I thank you for the rhythm of God. I thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit. But Lord,
as we close, as the world closes its eyelids, as we try to rest, Lord, we close our eyes and Lord, we still hear the sound of the enemy's territory. We close our eyes and we still hear the sound of pots and pans rattling in our head. Lord, we go to sleep and we dream unusual dreams. Holy Spirit, we rest and we can't rest. But Lord, I pray that you will carry every listener wherever they are from the four corners of this world. May the Spirit of the Lord lead you into paths of righteousness, the rhythm of life, the rhythm of the
word. Stay with us, return, and let's continue to pray soon. I will catch you at the 11th hour. God bless.
