Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Bane Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. Wherever you are gathering, however you're listening to the sound of my voice, thank you for staying connected. Thank you for returning. And whatever your life reflects, it is the early door. It is 12 a.m. wherever you are.
Come on, let's just jump straight into Psalms 4, verse 8. This is the title of this prayer. Jesus, as this new day begins, let my rest be in your presence and protection. Father, at these early hours, Father, at 12 a.m. Father, this day is going to begin. Lord, as this day, dear God, is going to move forward. Lord, I pray right now for the love of God. Jesus, as this day begins, let my rest be in your presence and protection. Father, I thank you for this midnight hour. Lord, I thank you that the day, Lord, is over. Lord, I thank you that the day will begin in a few hours. But Lord, as it does unfold, Lord, hours in front of us, Lord, I thank you that the love of God is over our lives. And Lord, will you let your love and your mercy and your saving grace be just poured out over us? Lord, wherever we are gathering under the sound of my voice. Lord, I thank you at this midnight hour prayer. Lord, as we gather for Christian devotional prayer time together. Lord, as we seek the Father's heart, as we seek the face of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Father, we thank you that there is fire in the name of Jesus, that there is power. So Lord, wherever we are gathering across this world, Lord, we pray for protection. We pray for your love. We pray for your mercy, Lord, that your stillness, your saving grace will just come down and descend on each
and every one of us. Father, whatever tribe, whatever language, whatever rhythm we are hitting, Lord, I want to say thank you right now to the listeners on the other side of the world. I want to say thank you to everybody that is listening to the sound of my voice. Whatever battle you're going through, whatever this cry might be that's coming out of this 12 a.m. prayer. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you. Father, as we broadcast from London, as we stretch out across the world, Lord, bless those in America, bless those in Australia. Lord, right the way through Europe and Brazil. Father, we are asking you that your love and your saving grace will be over every listener. Lord, we need your quietness. Lord, we need your presence. But Lord, I thank you to everybody that is joining with me right now, that we are locking shields. But Lord, as this day is going to unfold in just a few hours, Lord, I pray right now at 12 a.m. live here in London, England, that we will find a place to rest. And the shadow of Almighty God will be over each and every one
of us. But Lord, we walk in Psalms 4, verse 8. In peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Lord, I pray at this midnight hour that we will dress and we will rest and we will be still. And Lord, that you will dress us in your safety, that you will dress us in your love. You will dress us in your mercy. Lord, that we'll be dressed and ready, dear God, to rest. So Father, as we get ready for bed, as we're in bed, sitting on the sofa, Lord, whatever the rhythm of our life is reflecting, Father, I pray that we will be wrapped up and we will be dressed in your rest. Lord, we thank you for the power of the word of God. We thank you for your saving grace, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to every scenario of life. Father, as we climb the rock face of life, as we try to rest at this hour, Father, from the internal battles to the external battles, whatever the hour is when the listeners capture the sound of my voice. Father, I pray that the reign of God will just descend over their lives tonight. Lord, I thank you that there is power in the beautiful name in heaven and earth. But right now, Lord, I pray that we will stay connected, we will stay focused on your love and your mercy. Lord, as we gather across the world, bless the listeners from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet.
