Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you so much for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We're on a journey of prayer together. Stay connected, keep returning, and let's get across this globe, the love of Jesus
Christ. And we are in the beautiful book of Psalms. We're in uh chapter 4, verse 8. And the title of this prayer is Jesus. Let me sleep in peace and safely tonight. Holy Spirit, we pray, Lord, from the four corners of this globe in which we live, Lord, wherever we live, whatever our postcode, whatever the rhythm, but Lord, at this 12 a.m., Lord, we thank you for every one of us.
But right now, Jesus, let me sleep in peace and safety tonight. Father, I ask you that you will bless every heart that's with me. Lord, that we will feel the love of Jesus Christ over our lives. Lord, we pray that our minds, dear God, will find a place to calm down. Lord, that you will bring stillness, that you will bring hope, and you will bring, dear God, this beautiful rhythm of the word of God. Lord, we need the lion of Judah in our lives. We need peace at this hour. Lord, it's been a long day. Lord, and we're absolutely exhausted. We're worn out and we're tired. But Jesus, we thank you that your love and your saving grace is over our lives. And Lord, as we lean into Psalm 4, verse 8, in peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Father, I pray that we will find that we are dwelling in safety. Lord, as we watch the rhythm of the world, Lord, we do not engage in what the world is doing. Father, we do not want to be fixated on the shipping lanes. Lord God, we do not want to be fixated on the barrel of oil. Lord, we do not want to be fixated on social media and the bounce of the world. Lord, we want to walk in freedom. But right now, Lord, as we try to rest, as we try and find a place of peace, Lord, all the worries of today, Lord, will you gently just remove them from our heart and our mind and our body and our soul? Lord, we want to rest, Lord. We want to sleep. So Father, I pray, Lord, as we close our eyes, Lord, as the eyelids of the UK start to close. I pray, Lord, for that tiredness, that fatigue, that place, dear God, where we're emotionally overwhelmed.
I ask you right now, where worry lingers, Lord, you will replace that with love and trust. And we come to the cross of Calvary, Lord, and we're tired. Lord, we've had a rather big bounce today. Lord, we've had a big run of it today. Lord, we've been in the thick of life. But right now, Jesus, help us sleep. I pray for all those that suffer with sleep deprivation. Lord, that you will give them, Lord, that gentle rhythm tonight and they will be able to just uh just to gently just go to sleep and they will find that place of rest in their heart, their mind, their body,
their soul. But Lord, wherever we are across the world, thank you that we're able to pray. And as we lock, as we broadcast across the world, Father, we thank you that lives are being transformed by the love of Jesus Christ, the love of the Holy Spirit, the power of God. And Lord, we need your saving grace. We need your mercy. So across the world tonight, as we fall into Brazil, as we, dear God, fall into Mexico, Spain, the United States of America, Australia, Lord, and other nations around the world. Lord, as we broadcast across the table of life, I pray, from the battlefield to the field of life, to the troubles, dear God, to the battles that we have backwards and forwards, to in and fro in. I pray for peace, dear God, and that we will sleep well tonight. Lord, that we will feel the hand of God over our lives. But Father, we thank you for Psalm 4, verse 8. In peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Father, I pray that you will bless every heart, everybody on RB Christian Radio, everybody that is prying into this ministry, everybody that is sowing a seed, dear God into this financially. Bless us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet. Wherever you are, God is with you. Jesus, let me sleep in peace and safety tonight. Don't go too far. I will catch you at the next prayer. Come and join us.
