Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day at this unusual hour. Come on, we're pressing across the globe. Thank God for your life. Stay connected. Let's journey together through the power of prayer. Whatever
your life is looking like, you might be tired, you might be weary, but I gotta tell you right now, we're in the book of Philippians 4, verse 6, and this is where the title of this prayer comes from. Jesus, calm my anxiety through the night. Holy Spirit, calm our anxiety through the night. Dear God, we just come to you because Lord, there's nowhere else to go. Lord, it's been a fierce day. Lord, it's been a fierce walk. Lord, we've had a tough week, a tough month, a tough year, or a tough life. Lord, the rhythm of life is really wearing. And Lord, we do not want to live on the edge of our nerves. Lord, we don't want to live on the edge of anxiety. Lord, we don't want to live on the edge of panic, waiting for the panic attack to drop in, for the fear to accelerate. Lord, we don't want to live like that. Lord, we want to live in freedom. So you tell us through the beautiful book of Philippians 4, verse 6, do not be anxious about anything. But in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.
Lord, we got a shopping list and Lord, it's long. Father, we got needs and they're long. So, Holy Spirit, we come to you right now. And Lord, I believe that we want peace at this hour. I believe as we're scattered across the world, Lord, as we lock shields of faith through this daily prayer devotional time, Lord, wherever we are across this globe at this moment, Father, I pray that we will feel the love of God and Jesus, calm my anxiety, help my thoughts tonight, heal my heart today. Lord, wherever we are scattered across this beautiful earth, I pray that through every situation that we will lean in Jesus.
Father, remind us that we are dwelling in the shelter of the Most High. Remind us, dear God, when anxiety rises and tries to grab a hold of us, Lord, I pray that we will feel your love, your saving grace, and your mercy. But Lord, at this very early hour, I pray, Father God, before the sun rises in a few hours, Lord, I pray that we will get rest. And right now, Lord, that you will lift every heart, every mind, every body, and every soul. Lord, I pray that when anxiety tries to grab a hold, Lord, when fear, Lord, when we're wrestling in the fearful forts, I pray that our minds will not be overwhelmed. But Lord, will you bring stillness? Lord, we need the hand of God. And Lord, I pray that you will take the burdens, the worries, and the scared feeling away.
But Lord, as we broadcast across the world from London to Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Canada, South Africa, Lord, I pray for every nation, for every heart that is locking with us right now. Lord, we thank God for the listeners, but Father, I pray that there will be breakthrough. I pray for breakthrough in the name of Jesus that we will see, that we will walk, and we will know, dear God, that our Redeemer lives, and because he lives, we can face tomorrow. So Lord, from the rock face of life to the school run, dear God, to the dance of life, to the wart of life, to the crawl of life, to the run of life, Father, to every situation under the sun. Jesus, calm my anxiety, Lord, and bring
peace. Lord, we need to get in the rhythm of prayer. I pray, Lord God, that we will be found in the Word of God. We will be found, dear God, in the New Testament. We will be found, dear God, very simply in the book of Psalms. And Lord, we will get the prayers of David in our spirit. So Lord, I thank you that we will find comfort in your word. But Jesus, help us to hold to the book of Philippians 4, verse 6. Jesus, calm my anxiety tonight and bring peace to the rhythm of my life. From the battlefield to the boardroom.
Don't go too far. I invite you to journey with us in the next prayer. God bless.
