Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We're on a journey together. We're going to stay connected and we're going to stay locked. It is 12
a.m. And the title of this prayer is coming from Psalm 4, verse 8. Jesus, let me sleep in peace and rest safely tonight. Father, we thank you. Holy Spirit, we come to you. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit is with each and every one of us. And at this unusual hour, as you're trying to rest, as we're trying to find a place that we can rest our heart and our mind and our body and our soul, Jesus, let me sleep in peace and rest safely
tonight. Holy Spirit, we pray for a calmness over our house. We pray for a calmness in our life. We pray for a calmness through these bones. Lord, as we lock today, as we lock in tonight, as we lock in this morning, whenever we listen to the sound of my voice through this prayer time together, Father, we thank you for Psalms 4, verse 8. In peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell safely. Holy Spirit, I pray that the psalmist, dear God, will just bring these words into our heart right now. Lord, that these psalms, through the psalmist, Lord, through Psalms 4, verse 8, we pray, Lord, that the word will just rest in these bones at 12 a.m. Lord, help us to sleep. We pray for peace over our lives. Lord, the racing thoughts that we have. Those racing, dear God, those energizing thoughts that are just keeping our mind alert, the energizing way that the day has been. Lord, the racing thoughts of the worries and the fears, Lord, the thoughts that are just racing and progressing, Father, just like a Formula One car. Father, I pray, dear God, that we will have thoughts that will calm down right now. Lord, we need to sleep. Lord, we can't switch off. And Lord, we need to switch off. But you tell us, Lord, in peace, I will lie down and sleep. Lord, when we lie down, when we lay down, Father, when we try to go to bed, when we try to sleep, Father, our mind, Lord, is like a battlefield. Father, we just hear the screams and the noise of the day and history and the present-day events. Holy Spirit, I pray for peace. I pray for
calm. And Lord, as we broadcast from London right across the world, Lord, as we stretch right out, right now. Father, we thank you from London all the way to America, from America to Brazil, from Brazil all the way to Spain and Australia. Lord, all the way to Argentina. Lord, we're praying for the listeners in every house, in every home, in every car, in every van, in every scenario under the sun right now. Lord, as we join for daily devotional prayer time together. Lord, I thank you that Jesus Christ is our peace. I thank you that you are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And Father, we need your love. We need your mercy. We need that saving grace over our lives. Lord, we need the rhythm of God. Lord, we want to feel this rhythm right now at 12 a.m. Lord, we want to feel your mercy. We want to feel safety. We want to feel love. We want to feel anointing. We want to feel grace. We want to feel everything that the word has got for us. But Jesus, I pray, Lord, as the psalmist writes, in peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in a safe place. Father, we thank you for the book. We thank you for the love of God. We thank you for the greatest book in the world.
And right now, wherever we are, Lord, bless the listeners on RB Christian Radio. Touch those, dear God, that are praying into this ministry, those that are sending a financial seed. But right now, Lord, I ask you in peace, we will lie down and rest. Jesus, let me sleep in peace and rest safely tonight. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you. Don't ever give up. I will catch you.
