And without further ado, we're in Psalms 4 and we're in verse 8. And the title is Jesus. Let me sleep quietly in peace and safety
tonight. Holy Spirit, we need to sleep, dear God, in peace and safety tonight. Father, we surrender. We come to you right now, these still hours at 12 a.m. Father, we stretch out across the world and Lord, we believe in miracles. But dear God, I pray for each and every listener under the sound of my voice. We ask you, dear God, for the day and the rhythm of life, that we will find a place to rest our heart at this time. Lord, as the sun has set on today, as the sun might be rising, Lord, whatever the time zone is, Jesus, help us here to sleep in peace and dear God, find a safe place
tonight. Holy Spirit, we need stillness. Lord, life has been noisy. Lord, it has been sounding like thunder all day long, with the with the heavens above, Lord, just rattling over our lives. Father, we need peace. We need, dear God, just to come to you and find a place. So, Holy Spirit, we pray for
Psalms 4, verse 8. In peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Lord, you are our refuge, you are our rock. But every burden we pray that you will remove. Every concern, Lord, that you will take away, and Lord, it will be dissolved in the name of Jesus. Lord, every unresolved thought we ask you now, Lord, that you will give us stability. And Lord, we won't allow the fear of now, yesterday, and forevermore and our history, Lord, to hold on to us. But right now, Lord Jesus, I pray that the listeners will find a place to rest, a place of peace, a place of hope, and a place of stillness. So Lord, we pray that the rhythm of the Word of God, Lord, that Psalms 4, verse 8 will get in our bones. Father, we thank you for this scripture, because this scripture is alive and well. And Lord, I thank you that this is a powerful scripture at this hour. In peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in a safe space. Father, from the battlefields of life, Father, to every corner, to every scenario. Lord, we call on the name of Jesus. Lord, let your love just cover us right now. Bring safety and stillness to every house, to every home, to every area of life. But Jesus, Lord, as we broadcast across the world, Father, we thank you from London right away to
Brazil, America, the Philippines, India. Lord, we stretch out, Lord, and we pray that you are and you will be our refuge. You are and you will be our peace. Lord, that you are and you will be our rest. And Lord, I pray that we won't sleep in fear, that we won't sleep in doubt. But Lord, from the battlefield to the boredroom, to the field of life, that we will feel the love of God. And I ask you, dear God, that you will lift the listeners' hearts right now, that you will take any concerns and any burdens, that they will feel your love, your mercy, and your saving grace, that the gentleness of the rhythm of God and the word of God and your presence. Lord, at this unusual hour, Father, as the eyelids in the UK are closing, Lord, as the eyelids are waking on the other side of the world, wherever we are, whatever time zone we are in, Father, we pray for the love of God, the Spirit of God, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Lord, lift the burdens, lift the concerns, and Father, carry our thought pattern at this hour.
But Lord, we thank you as we come to the cross of Calvary. Jesus, let me sleep in peace and safely rest tonight. Wherever you are across the world, don't go too far. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. Let's journey together. Come on, jump with me to the next prayer.
