Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We're going to stay connected. We're in the journey, and the journey is called prayer.

Scripture Focus And Prayer Theme

SPEAKER_00

We're going to jump straight into the title of this prayer, and we're coming out of the book of Philippians 4, verse 6. This is the title. It is Jesus. Break the cycle of worry and bring calm to my thoughts. Holy Spirit, break the cycle of worry and bring calm to my thoughts.

Asking God To Break Worry

SPEAKER_00

Father, as we come to you, Lord, as we stand on the crossroads of another hour, Lord, as we wait, dear God, the voice of heaven, Lord, I pray that you will break this cycle. Lord, this cycle has been going on for days. Lord, this cycle has been going on for years. Father, we feel that we've been born with the cycle of worry. Lord, we want this cycle to be broken. We need freedom. We need love. And Lord, you've got to bring calm to our thoughts. Lord, whatever the rhythm, whatever the angle of our life looks like, Father, however we measure life, we come

Night Anxiety And Sleep Struggles

SPEAKER_00

to you. And Lord, we need, dear God, the anxiety at this night to go. Lord, the overthinking, Lord, the racing thoughts. Father, the stress, Lord God, Father, remove the stress right now. Holy Spirit, we pray that those that have sleep disturbances, we pray for those that can't sleep. Father, I pray as the eyelids are so tired, the eyes are tired, the bones are weary, the backs are aching. Father, as we stretch out across the world, Lord, I thank you for everyone under the sound of my voice. But Jesus, break the cycle of worry and bring calm to my thoughts at these early doors. Father, before the sun rises in a good few hours, Lord, I pray that we will get some sleep. Father, before the sun rises, Lord, that we will find peace. Before the sun rises, Lord, that you will break the cycle of worry. Because, Lord, the cycle of worry, the worry of now, the worry of yesterday, the worry of the future, the worry of life. Father, we are scared. And Lord, we need healing. So Lord, I pray for healing, Lord, for the area of worry, for the uncertainty.

Philippians 4:6 Put Into Practice

SPEAKER_00

Lord, you tell us through the beautiful book of Philippians 4, verse 6, do not be anxious about anything. But in every situation, by prayer and partition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. Lord, we bring it to God right now. And Jesus, in this deep hour of the night, when everything is quiet, but my mind is still alert and active. Lord, I bring my thoughts before you, the worries that keep returning. Lord, the circle of these thoughts. Father, the pressure that builds like a volcanic eruption. Lord, I'm waiting for this volcanic eruption to happen.

Naming Real Life Fears

SPEAKER_00

I'm worrying, dear God, about financial stuff. I'm worrying about the barrel of oil. I'm worrying about the shipping lanes of life. Lord, I'm worried about work, the children, relationships. Lord, I pray. Lord, at this unusual hour before the sun rises, Lord, meet me. Meet me, God, in my anxiety. Meet me, Lord, in my worry. Meet me in my doubt. Meet me at my deepest need. Holy Spirit, I need you right now. And Lord, our mind, we're carrying tension, we're carrying fear, we're carrying doubt. Lord, you've got to resolve these situations in my mind. Lord, it is my mind. Father, I thank you that, Lord, the battle belongs to you. But Lord, there is a battle that is going on in my thoughts.

Global Prayer And Closing Invitation

SPEAKER_00

And Lord, as we crisscross the globe, Father, as we stretch out on broadcast from London all the way to Mexico, all the way to Madrid, all the way to Spain. Lord, we pray for an outpouring of your spirit, dear God, in Brazil and Chile. Lord, we need your love around the world. But Jesus, at this hour, Lord, we need you to quieten these thoughts. But Lord, we believe in Philippians 4, verse 6. Do not be anxious about anything. Lord, help us not to carry anxiety in the greatest name in heaven and earth, from the battlefield to the field of life. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. Don't go too far. Will you join me for the next prayer? Come on.
