Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. As we crisscross the globe together, as we lock shields of faith, let's stay connected and let's journey this journey of prayer together. Come on, we're in prayer right now, whatever your time zone
is. We're in Philippians 4 and we are in verse 6. And this is the title, Jesus. Quieten my thoughts and lift the weight of anxiety tonight. Holy Spirit, quieten my thoughts and lift the weight of anxiety tonight.
Lord, we come to you because there's nowhere else to go. Lord, we're tired of social media. Lord, sometimes it makes us smile. Sometimes, Lord, we just get zapped into the channel. Lord, I pray that we won't lock onto the news channels. Lord, that we won't get caught on the platforms of life. But Lord, that we will look to Jesus Christ. I pray that you will remove the fatigue, the worry, the doubt, the uncertainty. But Lord, we come to you, Lord. And I pray, Lord, that you will quieten our thoughts at this hour.
Lord, it's been a busy day from the battlefield to the boardroom. Father, I just want to say thank you to every listener that is praying for us in the studio. Thank you for sowing your prayers into this ministry. Lord, bless every one of them. Thank you to everyone that is sowing a financial seed of three pounds into this ministry a month. Thank you to everybody, Lord, that's on RB Christian Radio listening to pure worship at this hour. Father, thank you to everyone that is standing with us in this studio, everyone listening to the archives. And Lord, I thank you that you are quieting all of our thoughts at
this hour. And Lord, we come to you, Lord, wherever and however they're listening to my voice. Lord, we call on the name of Jesus. And Lord, we stretch out from London to Saint Paolo, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Manila and Barcelona. Lord, we stretch out around the world and we call on the name of Jesus and we say, Holy Spirit, at this hour, at this quiet time, Lord, lift these thoughts. Take away the 50-50 thoughts. Take away the worry, the doubts, the wonders, dear God, of what might be, the wonders of yes, the wonders of might be, the wonders, the ifs, the buts, the possibilities, the maybes. Remove all that. But Lord, we come to you in the darkness right now. We stretch out and say, Father, Holy Spirit, Lord, I pray that you will help us not to be anxious about anything. The book of Philippians 4, verse 6 is for us at this deep hour of the morning. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and partition, give thanks and present your request to God. Father, we come to you with supplication. We come to you with surrender. Lord, we're tired. Lord, we're trying to work out the jigsaw puzzle of life. And Lord, we got peace is all over the place. Lord, our mind is all over the place. Lord, we can't finish the picture of life. Lord, we're scared. But right now we believe in the
word of God. And Lord, we lean into 1 Peter chapter 5, verse 7. Cast all your anxieties onto him because he cares for you. Lord, in these quiet hours. Lord, through these quiet storms, Lord, these little storms, Lord, these murmurs. Lord God, as the wind changes direction, Lord, as the rain beats at a different angle on the roof of life. Holy Spirit, we come to you. Lord, we cast all our anxiety onto him because he cares
for us. Jesus, in these quiet and restless hours of the night, when my body is still but my mind continues to move, I bring my thoughts before you right now. Lord, I ask that you will take the worries away. Lord, through this repetition, Lord, this thought that comes in and out, in and out. Spirit of the living God, will you take the worry and the fear? Father, from the battlefield to the washing machine, from the washing machine to the sofa, from the sofa, dear God, to the laptop, from the laptop to the puzzle of life, Father, to the car and the van. Holy Spirit, wherever we are right now, I pray that you will bring rest to hearts and minds in the wonderful name of Jesus
Christ. Don't go too far. Come on, join me at the next prayer.
