SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're going to stay connected. We're on a journey, and the journey is known as prayer, and we are going

to lock in. We're coming from Psalm 4 and we're coming from verse 8. Jesus. This is the title. Jesus, hold me through the night and establish me in undisturbed rest. Holy Spirit, hold me through the night and establish me in undisturbed rest. Holy Spirit, we need to be re-established. Lord, we need, dear God, this restful place. Lord, we've got to find a place to rest. We've got to find a place, dear God, just to sit and to be still. Lord, we thank you for the love of God and the Holy Spirit in our lives. But Lord, from the four corners of this world, we stretch out to the King. Lord, at this night time, Lord, we are looking for night rest and we are looking for protection. Jesus, hold me through the night. Holy Spirit, draw us to the cross of Calvary. Lord, we're weary and we're tired and we need shelter. And Lord, we pray through the beautiful book, Dear God of Psalms 4, verse 8. In peace I lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Letting Go Of Headlines And Noise

SPEAKER_00

Lord, we gotta dwell in safety. Lord, we don't want to lock on to the news. We don't want to listen to what's happening in the shipping lanes. Lord, we don't want to focus on what's happening in the world or on social media. Lord, we want to follow Jesus. And right now, Lord, as we look for you, Lord, in this midnight hour, Lord, as we open up the word of God, as Father, we try to declutter our mind. Lord, will you help us through the jigsaw of life? Lord, we got many pieces missing. Lord, we've got this happening and we got that happening. But right now, Lord, we need complete and absolute rest in you. So Jesus, hold me through the night. Holy Spirit, hold us through the

night. Lord, as we stretch out across London, Father, as we stretch out across the world, as we broadcast right now, Father, we pray for the listeners in St. Paolo. We pray, dear God, for New York. We pray for Johannesburg, Milan, and Madrid. Lord, we are praying for such an outpouring of your spirit that you will draw us close to you. Jesus, hold me through this night rhythm. Holy Spirit, hold us through this hour. Lord, draw us to the cross of Calvary. Lord, we need to walk close. Lord, we need to sit and be still and know that you're God. But Jesus, as we come to you right now, as night comes in, as evening settles in around us, we come to this moment seeking complete rest, steadiness, and Lord, understanding. Because Lord, we can't find that rest in the world. We can't find that place to settle. Our hearts are heavy, our minds are weary. So Lord, I pray that you will give us a place to sit and to be still. So Lord, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the field of life, to every scenario under the sun. Lord, as we stretch out across this world, we're longing, we're hungry. Lord, we need your protection. We need hope. We need to rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91 Refuge And Trust

SPEAKER_00

Father, we lean and we pray through Psalm 91. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Lord, we need to trust in you. Lord, we gotta lean into you. And whatever the hour is, Lord, as our eyelids close, we're tired and we're weary. Will you help us sleep at this hour? But Lord, will you remind us that you are our protector, you are our healer. Remove, dear God, these anxious thoughts from the four corners of the world, Jesus. Hold me through this night and establish me in undisturbed rest.

Closing Invitation To Return
