Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're going to stay connected and we're on a journey, and that journey is called prayer. Let's lock
in together. We are praying out of the great book of Philippians 4, verse 6. This is the title. Jesus, intercept every anxious thought and reorder my mind at this hour. Holy Spirit, intercept every anxious thought and reorder my mind in this hour.
Holy God, great King that you are, Father in heaven, we come to you right now at these early doors. And Lord, as the sun is going to rise in a few hours, Father, will you intercept these anxious thoughts? Holy Spirit, will you bring calm to our heart? Will you bring rest to us right now? Lord, through these anxious hours, through these hours of being disturbed by the wrestle of our mind. Father, we don't want to wrestle with our mind. Lord, we don't want this overthinking. We don't want these racing thoughts of work, of yesterday, of today, of emails and text, the worry of what's happening in the war zones of life. Father, will you give us freedom? Lord, we've got to get away from stress. We've got to get away from issues in life. Lord, we need a reset. Lord,
will you reset this mind of ours? Lord, at this hour we come to you, Lord, from the four corners of this world. Father, as we stretch out from London. Lord, I thank you for Los Angeles. I thank you for America. I thank you for Barcelona and France. I thank you for Canada and the Philippines. I thank you, dear God, that you are moving through every hour as we broadcast across the world. Lord, help us not to overthink. Help us, dear God, to calm down. But Lord, we believe as we pray through Philippians 4, verse 6. Do not be anxious about anything. But in every situation, by prayer and partition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. Lord, we bring it to you. Lord, we try and lay it down, but Lord, we are battling thoughts. Lord, our hands are holding on to the suitcase of yesterday. Lord, we got a rucksack on our back. It is filled up with racing thoughts, overthinking, stressful moments. Lord, it is filled up to the brim. And Lord, we can't get this rucksack off. Lord, it is weighing us down. The stress is weighing us down. The fear is weighing us down. Lord, you tell us through that great book of 1 Peter 5, verse 7, cast all your anxieties onto him because he cares for you. Lord, from the battlefield to the boardroom. Father, to the midnight hour, Lord, to the early door. Father, as the rain falls, as the sun shines, Lord,
we need you in our heart. Jesus, in this deep hour of this night, when everything is quiet, but my mind is racing. Lord, when it's so quiet on the outside world, my mind is racing. Lord, I bring my thoughts before you. The pattern of my overthinking. Lord, the worries, the turning over in my mind, the pressure that builds up silently. Lord, I bring everything to you right now at these precious moments. And Lord, will you break the cycle of this repetitive thoughts, rhythms I have in my head? Lord, the jigsaw of life. Father, I need to put it on the table right now. Lord, I need to get this broken in my life. Lord, I need clarity. Lord, I need clearness. Lord, I don't want these wraithing thoughts. I don't want this stuff in my head. Lord, I need freedom in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, as I come to you, Lord, I want your love. I want your mercy. But Jesus, help me to get to the cross. Father, wherever we are in our lives, help us to get to the cross.
Lord, will you remind us that you are the King above all kings? Jesus, intercept every anxious thought tonight and reorder my mind at this very unusual hour. From the battlefield to the boardroom. God is with you. Join me at the next prayer. Come on.
