Welcome
to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you that you're making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. The day is about to come to a close. It is the 11th hour. I know we're weary. I know we're tired. We're exhausted. We got fatigue. We're worried. We're looking at the price of the barrel of oil. We're looking at the forecourt of life. Let's not focus on diesel, let's not focus on food. Let's not focus on petrol. Let's not focus on the commodities of the world.
Let's focus on Jesus Christ because He's going to give you rest. Come on, the title of this prayer is coming out of the great book of Psalm 23, verse 1. Jesus, govern my rest and lead me into deep stillness tonight. Holy Spirit, lead us into rest tonight. And Father, we want to go deeper into your presence. Father
Lord, I thank you that John 3 16 is the anchor for our lives. I thank you for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever shall believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Father, as we stretch out across the world, I want to say thank you to every listener under the sound of my voice. Thank God for those on RB Christian Radio. Lord, will you strengthen those that are scared tonight? Lord, will you bless those, dear God, that are sowing a financial seed into this ministry. Father, carry them. Lord, bless those, dear God, that are praying for this ministry. Thank God for your prayers. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank God, dear God, I pray that you will bless everybody in the archives, Lord, that are going through the back archives of these prayers and these podcasts. Father, I thank you, dear God, for this daily devotional prayer family. Lord, I thank you that we're praying together. Lord, we are weary, we are tired, but Lord, also we are faithful.
And we believe, Lord, as we learn to surrender to God. Lord, will you take us into deep peace tonight? Will you help us to surrender our lives and our worries and our fears? Lord, we thank you that the future of our lives is in your hands and everything is okay. But Father, as we, dear God, close the eyelids on today, Lord, as we close the laptop of life, Father, help us to close the laptop lid.
Holy Spirit, Lord, I pray, Lord, that we won't fall asleep at the laptop for work. Lord, that we won't fall asleep on social media. Lord, that we won't fall asleep listening to the sound of the news channels. But Lord, we will fall asleep listening to the rhythm of God. And right now, Lord, the rhythm is calling you right now.
The book of Matthew 11, 28 is calling you right now. The kingdom of God is calling you right now. And this is what the word says. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. You will find rest in Jesus. You will find rest in Jehovah Jirah. You will find rest in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Father, we come to you. Lord, you are a great God. You are the King above all kings. And right
now, Lord, remind us that you are our shepherd. Lord, as the prayers of David, Lord, I pray that Psalm 23 will rest in our spirit right now. The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing. Lord, I pray as this day comes to a close, Lord, at the 11th hour right now, Lord, as the sun has long set over the UK, Father, as the rain falls, as the snow comes down, Lord, the four seasons of life that we're in, will you strengthen each and every one of us, Father, from the four corners of this world? Lord, as we stretch out from London to Brazil, from Brazil all the way, dear God, to France, all the way, dear God, to the Isle of Man, from the Isle of Man, dear God, all the way to Lanzarote, from Lanzarote all the way to Australia. Lord, we pray that you will crisscross this world tonight and bring peace to each and every one of our hearts. But Father, from the battles of life to the inner battles to the external battles, Lord, we thank you that the rhythm of God is in our lives.
Father, as this day comes to a full close, Lord, I pray that we will sleep and our sleep will be sweet. Wherever you are across this world, I want to tell you that Jesus Christ is your shepherd. He loves you unbelievably. He loves you unconditionally. God is with you. I pray that you will get a good night's rest wherever you are. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you.
