Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the journey. Wherever you are, we're gonna stay locked together. It is 12 a.m. in London, and we're gonna jump straight into the book of Psalms. We are very familiar with this scripture. This is alive and well at this time, it fits
beautifully. And we're in Psalms 4, verse 8. This is the title. Jesus, secure my night and settle my mind into deep rest. Holy Spirit, take us into deep
rest. Lord, it's been a noisy day. Lord, it's been a noisy evening. Lord, it's been a noisy life, actually, Jesus. And Father, there is a lot of noise in our thought pattern at this moment. And right now, Lord, I pray. Lord, we are tired and we are weary, but we cannot find rest, Lord. Lord, our mind is still at work, but our body's at home. Lord, our body's at home, but our mind, dear God, is watching the TV. Lord, we are tired and we are weary. Lord, we are exhausted and we are run out of energy. Holy Spirit, I pray for everyone that feels run out right now. I pray, dear God, that you will secure our thoughts. Lord, will you settle our mind? Lord, will you secure our night? Lord, I pray that you'll protect all those that feel really scared of the darkness of the early hours. Father, as the sun rises as the sun sets across the world, Father, we know that you are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi. But Lord, as we stretch out, Lord, as we lock in shields together, Lord, wherever we are at this hour, Holy Spirit, I pray as we pray through Psalms 4, verse 8. In peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Holy God, we lift our eyes to the King. Lord, we lift our heart to the King. But right now we are tired and we are weary. Will you remove all the anxiety, all the fear, all the doubt, all the Rasmatas of the day, Lord? And we need a calm heart right now. Lord, our mind is racing. Our thoughts, dear God, are over-engineering our life. And Lord, we need to go into a place where our hearts will rest and find security.
So Lord, we come to the cross right now. Lord, there is nowhere else for us to go. Lord, we believe in miracles, but Lord, at this hour, will you draw us? Will you draw us to a place
of rest? Holy God, as we stretch out from London right the way through to New York, all the way to Madrid, from Madrid, all the way to Barcelona, all the way, dear God, to London town again, all the way back to Scotland, Ireland, and Wows. Lord, we are praying for Europe, South America. We're praying, dear God, for local areas. We're praying for far out areas. We're praying for every one of us wherever we live, whatever village, whatever tribe, whatever land, whatever county, whatever country, wherever we live right now, we need peace. Holy Spirit, secure our night and settle our mind into deep rest. Holy God, we come to you, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. Father, from the midnight hour, Father, to the battlefield of life, from the battlefield of life to everyday scenarios under the sun. Lord, will you help us to get rid of the thought pattern of our mind? Lord, we are bringing our work home. We are bringing our troubles home. We are bringing everything, Lord, to the door of life. And Father, I pray that you'll bring calmness and peace.
Father, I thank you to everybody right now that is praying with me. Thank you to everybody that is listening to the sound of my voice. Lord, will you bless them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet? I pray that the love of God will just cover you right now. And the scripture in Psalms 4, verse 8 says, In peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. May God bless you. I will catch you at the next prayer. Come on, journey with us.
