Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We are locking in together. We are gonna stand strong. We're gonna carry on. We've still got quite a few hours. It is 6 p.m. in London, and we've

got to keep going. So the title of this prayer is coming out of the book of Philippians 4, verse 13. Jesus, uphold my strength and carry me through every demand still ahead.

Naming The Night’s Demands

SPEAKER_00

Father, it is only 6 p.m. And Lord, there are and there is a lot of demands on us right now. Father, we got to cook the dinner. Lord, we got to clean the house. Father, we got to get home. We got to take the kids to football, to netball, to cricket, to rugby, to whatever it may be. Lord, we got to get them to swimming classes. Lord, there is still a heavy demand on our lives. And Father, we are tired. Lord, we've been up early doors. And Lord, we've had a long old stretch. And Father, we come to you right now. Lord Jesus, uphold our strength and carry us through every demand that's still ahead of us tonight.

A Global Prayer For Strength

SPEAKER_00

Holy God, as we stretch out from London all the way to Houston, all the way to Dallas, all the way to Port Paulo, all the way to Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. Lord, we hold on to the word of God. Lord, whatever tribe, whatever colour, whatever language, whatever life we've come from, from the village to the city, from the city, dear God, to the valleys of life. We need Jesus Christ because God, there is still a few hours on us today. And Lord, we got to get

through some certain tricky situations at this hour. Lord, the eyelids are feeling tired. The eyes are tired. The voice is tired. The body's tired. The day, Lord God, has been long and hard. And Father, we come to you right now. And Father, uphold our strength and carry us through every demand that's still upon our shoulders. Lord, as we look at what we got to do, Father, we still got to get home from work. Father, we still got to cook the tea. Father, we still got to clean the bathroom. Lord, we've got to clean the van out. Lord, I still got to get to the builders' merchants. We still got stuff to do. Father, in the name of Jesus, the clock is moving so fast. And Lord, we are tired. But Lord, I remind myself right now. Lord, we remind each

other of Philippians 4 verse 13. I can. I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. Right now, Lord, we need strength just to get home. Lord, we need strength to fight our way through the commuter rush. Lord, we need strength, dear God, to get the children ready for their activities this evening. Spirit of the living God, I pray for those that feel scared and worried. I pray, dear God, that you will sustain us by the word of God. I pray, Lord, for all the activities of life. I pray, dear God, that you will give us endurance. Lord, that we will find a way where there is no way. But right now, Lord, we got evening fatigue. Lord, give us strength to finish this day. Lord, help us to find endurance under pressure. Lord, this is a tired moment. Lord, we got work stress. We got life stress. We stress, we got kid stress. We got relational shift. We got stress. Holy Spirit, wherever you are right now, we need you. Holy God, wherever you are right now, we need you. Father, as we stretch out across the world, from the battlefield to the laptop, from the laptop to the scaffold, from the scaffold to the swimming lesson. Father, wherever we are, whatever this rhythm is, Lord, however we are weaving through this evening, Father, give us strength, uphold our strength, and carry us through the evening where we got so many demands. Holy God, bring peace. I pray right now, Lord, as we pedal out of this prayer, we will hold on to Philippians 4, verse 13. I can do all things through Him that gives me strength. Wherever you are, whatever your evening is going to look like, I pray, whatever season of life you're going through, whatever weather structure is coming to the front door of your life, whether you're in the winter, the summer, the autumn, or the spring of life, the spirit of the Lord is with you. Jesus, will you remove this evening fatigue? Will you help us to finish this day well? Lord, give us endurance under pressure. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you through this evening. Don't go too far. I'll catch you at the next prayer. God bless.
