Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We're going to stay connected. It is late. It is the 11th hour. We are in London. We are in this studio, and the love of God is over you. God is with you. Just remind yourself of John 3 16. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting
life. God loves you. This day is coming to a close. Our eyes are tired. Your backs are aching. We've had a right run of it today. Come on, he is our shepherd. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, in these quiet moments, help us to find that quiet rest. Lord, you tell us through Psalm 23, verse 1, Jesus, restore my soul and draw me into that beautiful place tonight. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will restore our soul and you will draw us completely into that beautiful place. Holy God, restore everyone's soul tonight and lead us in paths of righteousness. Lord, as this day closes, Lord, we are tired, we are weary. Father, I pray that hearts will smile and we will realize that Psalm 23, verse 1 is for us.
The Lord is our shepherd. I lack nothing. Lord, help us not to chase the world in our mind. Lord, help us not to chase what's on the other side of the fence. Because Lord, the grass is never greener on the other side. So Lord, help us to focus on the lane that we're in. Help us to focus in our lives. Help us to focus in what you are calling us to do. So Father, I want to say thank you to the listeners across the world right now. I believe God is healing you. I believe God is healing your life. I believe God is with you in your life. I believe God is your good shepherd. Jesus Christ
is the way maker. He is the way, the truth, and the life. But right now, Father, from the battlefield to the boardroom of life, Holy Spirit, I pray that we will not bring our work home. Lord, that we will not bring these thoughts with us from wherever and whatever we have been doing today. I pray, Father, at the 11th hour we will find complete rest. Lord, I pray that we will open up the scripture, Lord, and we will close the laptop. Lord, that we will turn the device off, that we will turn the news and the TV off, Lord, and we will just sit in the stillness and say, Jesus, restore my soul and draw me into complete rest under your care at this hour. Father, I thank you from the battlefield of life to every scenario. Lord, as the sun rises, as the sun sets, Lord, as we stretch out from London all the way, dear God, to Australia, all the way to France, all the way to Belgium, all the way, dear God, to Taiwan, all the way to Hong Kong, Brazil, and Peru. I pray, Lord, whatever nation, whatever tribe, whatever colour, wherever we are from, whatever language we speak, Lord, that you will wrap us up in God's rest, that we will find a place to rest. Lord, help us to surrender to the King of Kings and the
Lord of Lords. But Jesus, as we pedal out of this prayer, I believe that Matthew 11, 28 is for all of us. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Holy God, will you draw us to the Word? Will you draw us to the cross? From the battlefield to the Passover table, from the Passover table to the laptop, from the laptop to the puzzle of life, from the puzzle of life to the washing machine to the spin dryer. Wherever we are right now, Father, as our eyes are so tired, Lord, the eyelids are flickering and we are exhausted. I pray that God will restore you through the 11th hour and you will find strength in the name of Jesus Christ.
