Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. Whatever your time zone is, wherever you are right now.
Come on, we're gonna jump straight into Psalms 3 verse 5. This is the title, Jesus. Sustain me through the night and re-establish my rest without disturbance. Holy God, that you are, I pray that you will sustain each and every one of us through the night and re-establish my rest without disturbance.
Father, we come to you right now at 12 a.m. And Lord, we stretch out, dear God, and Lord, we just say, Lord, will you wrap us up in your love? Will you help us to sleep, Lord? Father, we gotta lean into the word of God. And Father, we thank you that the word of God is powerful. And right now, Lord, with any disturbance that's in our mind, any thought pattern, Lord, I pray for night protection. I pray that this anxiety will go at the name of Jesus, Lord, and we will find that we will have a peaceful sleep and rest tonight. Lord, we want to rest in God. Lord, will you draw us to the cross of Calvary? Holy Spirit,
we want to get to that place of complete rest. And Lord, as we lean into Psalms 3, verse 5, I lie down and sleep. I wake again because the Lord sustains me. Father, I thank you that the Lord sustains us. I thank you, Lord, that we will lie down and sleep. Lord, I wake again. Lord, I thank you for the rhythm of sleep. I thank you for the rhythm of our lives. And as we come to you, Lord, we lean into the beautiful book of Psalms 3, verse 5. I lie down and sleep. I wake again because the Lord sustains me. Father, I ask you that you will bless every heart that's with me wherever they are right now. Jesus, at this night time, at this early door, at this moment, I pray that the pressure will go and the love of God, Lord, will you watch over us right now? I pray, dear God, that you will draw us into a
place of calm and into a place of rest. Lord, will you re-establish the peace that seems to be diminished out of my life? Lord, will you give us, dear God, that reassurance, Lord, that refueling of peace? Lord, as we stretch out across the world. Father, we thank you from London as we broadcast from London all the way to Johannesburg, all the way to Madrid, all the way to Barcelona, to South America, Asia, all the way around the Middle East. Lord, we are looking for the love of God. Holy Spirit, will you sustain us and carry each and every one of us? Father, from the midnight hour to the battlefield, to the dark moments, to the fearful moments, to the peaceful moments, to every situation wherever we are on the field of life. I pray, dear God, as we rest on the sofa, as we rest on the edge of the bed, dear God, as we sit, dear God, just in the van of life, Father, whatever we are doing, Father, as the sun has set over the UK and as the sun will rise, Lord, again, I thank you. As the rain comes, Lord, the sun rises, the sun falls, the moon shines, the stars in the heavens. Lord, I thank you, Father, for the nature of life. I thank you for the seasons of life. But right now, I ask you, dear God, that we will lie down and sleep. I will wake again because very simply the Lord sustains us. Holy God, wherever we are, will you sustain us at the midnight hour? Will you give us strength from the four corners of the world? Holy God, great King that you are, I thank you. Lord, remind us that your word is faithful and true. Wherever you are right now, I pray that the love of God will carry you through from the midnight hour to the first sunrise of this new day. Come on, join me. Let's get to the next prayer.
