Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. Come on, we're gonna lock together. Let's stay connected. Let's get in the rhythm of prayer. I know you're tired. It is early doors. It is 12 a.m. live here in London, England.
The title of this prayer is coming out of the great book of Psalms 91, verse 1. Jesus, cover me completely and establish me in safe, undisturbed rest tonight. Holy God. Lord, we need to feel safe tonight. Father, we are watching the news, we are watching things happening breaking out across the world. And Father, we call on the greatest name. And right now, Lord, we want to feel secure and we want to feel at rest. We want to feel protection and we want to feel ease in our lives. Holy Spirit, we're praying, dear God, that the love of Jesus Christ will just wrap around each and every one of us. And Lord, I pray, Lord God, that you will bless everybody from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet, that they will feel the love of Jesus Christ. Whatever is going on in our lives at this hour, Jesus, cover me completely and establish your love over us tonight. Holy Spirit, cover
us completely and establish your love tonight. Father, we walk to you, we crawl to you. Father, we run to you because right now, Lord, we need a peaceful rest tonight. Lord, we need God's covering and your love over our lives. And right now, God, in the name of Jesus, we dive straight in to the beautiful book of Psalms 91, verse 1. And we lean into this, God. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Father, we need to rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, we've got to dwell, we've got to live in the shelter of the Most High. Lord, you are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. Lord, we've got to lean into the word of God. Father, we can't live our lives, Father, anymore in the way of being frantic and out of control and spinning too many plates. Lord, we need deep rest. We need hope. But right now, Lord, will you remove the anxious thought, the anxious drive wherever we are? Father, as we sit on the edge of the bed tonight, Father, as we just lay in the bed, we're trying to rest. Lord, our eyes are tired. The eyelids are closing. Lord, it's been a long day today. Help us to close the laptop lid on work. Holy Spirit, I pray that we won't bring our work home. Lord, that we won't lock onto the news channels, but Father, we will find rest in our house, in the area of our
lives. Jesus, as this night begins to close across the UK, Father, we pray for an outpouring of your love and your mercy. But dear God, I pray, as we gather, Lord, from the four corners of the world, Lord, we stretch out right now and we call on the greatest name in heaven and earth. Father, as we broadcast out across the listeners, Lord God, I thank you that the love of God, Lord, is over each and every one of us. But from London all the way to Saint Paulo, all the way, dear God, to Barcelona, Madrid, and Madeira. Lord, we pray for Brazil and Peru. That the love of God at this hour, Lord, will you remove these anxious thoughts? Lord, this rhythm that we got at this moment in time. Father, from the battles of life, Holy Spirit, from the battles of life to the edge of the bed, from the edge of the bed to the sofa. From the sofa, dear God, to whatever scenario we are in right now. Lord, will you cover us? Lord, we gotta find deep rest tonight. The only place we're gonna find deep rest is in your presence and in your love. Father, we are not alone. And you, dear God, help us to dwell in safety. Lord, we need your protection. We need hope tonight. Father, I pray for the listeners wherever you are, from the battlefield to the sofa, from the sofa to the bed. May God cover you in his love and his mercy. Come on, join with me. Let's get to the next prayer. God is with you. Don't ever, ever give up.
