Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're going to lock shields. We're in a global prayer time together. We're going to stay connected. We're on a journey, and the journey is life, and the journey is prayer. I don't want you ever to give up. I know you're tired. I know you're weary. Whatever your day has been looking like, we're going to pray to God right now for his love and his mercy.
We're going to pray for deep restoration. And the title of the prayer is coming out of Matthew 11, verse 28. Jesus, receive my burdens and bring me into deep rest and restoration tonight. Holy God, Jehovah Jirah, receive my burdens and bring me into deep rest and restore me tonight. Holy God, Lord, we're tired. We're weary. Lord, we're just about to get home right now. Lord, we want to close the front door on life. Lord, when we get in, we're going to throw ourselves in a chair. We're going to throw ourselves on the sofa. Lord, we are exhausted. We are weary and we are tired. But Lord, as evening creeps in, Father, as the sun has set in London, Father, we are coming to you according to the Gospel of Matthew 11, 28. Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit is with you wherever you are across this beautiful earth.
Jesus, as this day brings to a settle, this evening draws in, I come before you carrying what I cannot carry anymore. Lord, I cannot release this. Lord, I've got a rucksack on. Lord, I've got two suitcases. Lord, I am weighed down with emotional weight, fear, worry. Lord, the price of the barrel of oil, Lord, I'm tired of listening to political table tennis. Lord, I don't know what to believe. The strain of war is too much. The tension, the weight, dear God, of life is
really heavy. And we come to you, Lord, we are looking at the fuel pump. Lord, we're looking at the diesel. We're looking at the petrol. Lord, we're worried about the commodities. Lord, we're listening to what's happening to the shipping lanes of life. Father, we need you and we need peace. Lord, life feels very heavy right now. Jesus, will you receive my burdens? Will you lift the weight from me? Will you restore me? Lord, I am feeling drained. And Lord, also we are not just feeling drained, we are feeling empty. Lord, will you refresh us again? Lord, will you bring us to a place? Lord, will you get us back into the rhythm of the word? Lord, we are feeling unsettled. Lord, will you bring calm and rest
to each and every one of us? Father, we believe in miracles. So right now, from London all the way, dear God, to Manila, all the way to Vancouver, all the way to El Salvador, Lord, we are praying for Australia. We're praying for Chile. We're praying for South America, Latin America, we're praying for Italy and France. We're praying for every globe, every tribe, every language, every tongue, but Jesus, we are carrying pressure. And Lord, this pressure has got to go. In the name of Jesus, we are restored. Father, we are tired, we are weary. Lord, wherever we are, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom, dear God, to the cooking, from the cooking to the cleaning. Father, to putting the children in bed, whatever the rhythm, whatever the tribal language is within our house right now, Lord, we need Jesus Christ. Father, I pray that you will anoint everyone under the sound of my voice, that you will bring us to a place of restoration, that you will bring us to a place of hope. Jesus, we need you in our lives. Father, we are tired, we are weary, and we've had enough. But right now, we thank you that there is power in the greatest name in heaven and earth. And Father, we need restoration, we need hope, we need glory, and Father, take us deep into restoration. Jesus, receive these burdens, carry these suitcases, lift this rucksack from our back. Spirit of the living God, we come to you right now, Lord, at this hour, with the pressures and the worries and the fears, Father, from the battlefield to the walk of life. Father, as we sit on the edge of the sofa, Lord, as we got our heads in our hands, Father, as we are wiping the tears from our eyes, Lord, we are scared, we are worried. So, Jesus, take us deep into the Word of God and bring every burden that weighs us down out of our heart and bring freedom in Jesus'
name. Don't you ever give up. God is with you. Come on, let's walk by faith. Let's get to the next prayer. Come on.
