Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're gonna lock in across the world, we're gonna stay connected, and will you join me as we just press in for these four to five minutes of prayers? Come on, it is early doors, it is 3 a.m. and the Spirit of the Lord is with each and every one of us.
The title of this prayer is coming out of the book of Psalms 139. Jesus, search my heart and quieten every thought that disturbs me in this hour. Holy God, search my heart. Father, that's a big word. Search my heart, Father. Lord, what are you gonna find in my heart? Lord, what are you gonna find in the skin that I walk in? Jesus, search my heart and quieten every thought that disturbs me in this hour,
Lord. That's an interesting prayer right now, Jesus. Lord, as I have this conversation with you, God, Father, I pray right now that every thought that is disturbing me, every thought, Father God, that has disturbed us, Lord, we pray for every intrusive thought, Lord, the anxiety that rises at 3 a.m., Lord, the inner peace that we don't seem to find at this moment in time, Lord, we feel pressured, we feel weighed down, Lord, we feel really on edge. But right now, Lord, as the overthinking in these early doors, Father, we pray that the love of God and the beauty of the Messiah, Lord, search our hearts and quieten every thought that disturbs me in this hour.
Lord, we pray right into the book of Psalms 139. Father, as the psalmist writes, search me, God. Search me, God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. Father, you know our anxiety. Lord, you know the mental health, you know the fears and the doubts and the worries, the disturbances that we're going through, the disturbances that we've had. Lord, we need inner stillness. Lord, our thoughts and our mind need to be aligned with the word of God. Lord, you tell us that you are the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through thee.
And Lord, at these early doors, Lord, we pray as the sun is going to rise in about three hours or so, Lord, in London. We are asking you, Lord, before the sun rises, Lord, all the fear will go, all the worry will go, all the doubt will go. Lord, we are trying to sleep. Lord, we're actually pretending to be asleep. Holy Spirit, I pray that we will go into a deep, beautiful rest right now. And we hand these thoughts to you at the cross. Father, we thank you that the cross is empty. But Lord, as we look at the cross, we just remind ourselves of what Christ has done through the biblical working of the cross of Calvary. And Lord, we pray for every thought that is disturbing us at this hour from the battlefield
of life. Lord, as we broadcast out from London all the way to New York, all the way to Saint Paolo, all the way, dear God, to Bangladesh, India. We're praying for China and Chile, Barcelona. Lord, we're praying that the love of God for every area of life right now. Lord, we're tired and we're weary. We need Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Father, from the battlefield to the boardroom of life. I'm praying, dear God, that you will bless the listeners from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet, that they will feel the love and the power of Jesus Christ wherever you are across this world, from the bedroom to the kitchen, from the kitchen to the sofa, of these early hours as you're sitting on your chair right now, sitting on your pulch right now. Maybe you're doing a night shift, maybe you're working late, whatever you are doing, close the laptop lid, turn the social media off and lean into Jesus Christ. Father, bless the listeners wherever they are across the world, from the external battles to the inner battles, to every intrusive thought. Lord God, remove the worries and the fears in Jesus'
name. God bless you. Join me at the next prayer.
