Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the bounce of your evening. Wherever you are, God is with you. Come on, we are locking across the world. We're gonna stay connected and we're on the journey, and the journey is prayer.
We're jumping straight in to the title of this prayer. This is coming out of the book of Isaiah 40, verse 31. Jesus, renew my strength and carry me through what still remains ahead today. Oh God, Jesus, there are still hours ahead of us. Holy Spirit, renew my strength and carry us through what still remains today. Holy God, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. Lord, we are feeling drained and Lord, we need this endurance prayer. Even though we go through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil. Father, I pray for everyone on the four corners of this world. We pray for such an outpouring of your spirit. Jesus, renew our strength and carry us through what still remains ahead
today. Father, as we come back from work, Lord, as we get the children ready for food, Lord, as we get their uniform off, as we're at the washing machine, the spin dryer, Lord, as we are taking the children to their clubs and everything about their young lives. Father, we pray as we are taking the children swimming, dear God, as we go to football, rugby, cricket, netball, whatever it may be. Lord, I pray as the evening still unfolds, Lord, we are tired and we are not going to give up. Give us strength to keep going. Lord, we've got evening fatigue. Father, from the battlefield to the school run, from the football club to the netball club. Father, whatever the rhythm of his tonight, we pray that you will strengthen us and carry each and every one of us to what lies ahead through these next hours. Lord, our eyes are tired, our backs are aching, but Lord, we keep going because we know the Spirit of the Lord is with each and every one of us. Holy Scott, Lord, we come to the cross and Lord, we look at Jesus. Father, we thank you that the word is alive, sharper than a double-edged sword. But Jesus, renew the strength and carry us through what lies ahead today. Whatever remains in front of us, Lord, whatever is around us, from the inner battles to the external battles. Father, as the sun rises, as the sun sets, as the rain comes, as the rain falls, Lord, we pray that we will feel the latter-day rain, that we will feel the love of
God. Father, as we press in, Lord, from the trench of life, dear God, from every scenario, from every sunset to every situation, Father, I pray that we won't lock on to the news channels. We won't lock in to social media. We won't get entangled in the political language around the world. But Jesus, carry us by your word. Carry us by your presence. Carry us by your glory. Lord, we're not gonna give up. Lord, we've got to take the kids, dear God, all the way to swimming. Lord, we've got to take them to netball. We've got to do the homework. We gotta do algebra. Lord, we've got to look at what they need to do. Lord, we've got to do their writing. We are tired. We've got to clear up their satchel. Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus. Lord, I'm still coming back from work. Lord, I got to get on the tube. Lord, I gotta get on the bus and we are tired and we are weary. Lord, from every scenario, every sunset, Lord, give us strength to finish this day. Lord, renew this strength and this energy in Christ Jesus. Lord, as we stretch out, bless everyone under the sound of my voice, from London all the way to Houston, from Houston all the way to Australia, from Australia to Port Paulo, from Port Paulo all the way to Brisbane to Lisbon. Spirit of the living God, we're calling on the greatest name in heaven and earth, Jesus. Give us strength to keep going. Lord, we're
not going to give up. And Lord, whatever battle, whatever trial, Lord, we thank you that Isaiah 40, verse 31, is for each and every one of us. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. Spirit of the Living God, I pray that you will give us energy to finish this day well in Jesus' precious name. Wherever you are, the glory of God is over your life. From the school run to the swimming run, from the swimming run to the shopping, from the shopping to the cooking to the ironing to the cleaning, whatever you are doing right now, may the glory and the love of Jesus be over your life. Come on, jump with me to the next prayer. Come on.
