Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Cooper, wherever you are at this moment in this world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're going to pray together, we're going to lock in. Let's stay connected. We are tired and we are weary. It is 11 o'clock in London. We need deep rest, we need to surrender, and we need to feel that securing covering of the love of Jesus Christ. Let's pray
together. The title of this prayer is coming out of the book of Psalm 16, verse 8. Jesus, hold me steady through this night and establish me in deep, unshakable rest.
Lord, I don't know about anyone else under the sound of my voice, but I need unshakable rest because Lord, I feel like, Lord, this world is extremely unstable. I feel that this world is spinning, spiraling out of control. But I thank you, God, that you are in full control. So Lord, as we look across the news channels, as we look on social media, will you hold us steady? And Lord, help us not to engage in what the world is saying, but to focus on Jesus Christ. So right now, will you protect us? Will you carry us? Lord, I need to trust in you more. I need to surrender my
life to you more. Lord, I need to feel more secure because Lord, this world is very odd. And we come to you in the greatest name in heaven and earth. Lord, we anchor ourselves in John 3, 16, because Lord, we need to know that love. We need to be anchored in the love of Jesus, in the love of God. And we thank you that Romans 8 tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. And right now, Lord, will you steady our hearts? Will you steady the bounce of our lives? Lord, we don't want to bounce on the trampoline with the world. Lord, we want to walk in faith. We want the steadiness of Jehovah Jairah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. Lord, will you steady our heart right now? Because Lord, we don't want our heart to be beaten out of control. Lord, we want to feel secure in your rest tonight. And we come to you, Lord God, and we believe in miracles. And Lord, as we pray through the beautiful book of Psalms 4, verse 8, in peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. I thank you, Father, that every listener is dwelling in the safety of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. But right
now, Lord, through the rhythm of the eleventh hour, Holy Spirit, as we stretch out from London, all the way, dear God, to Mexico City, all the way to Chile, all the way to Mumbai, from Mumbai to America, back to Brazil. Holy God, that you are. We pray for every nation, for every city, for every town, every village. I pray for everyone under the sound of my voice. I pray that they will find deep rest. They will feel the love of God, and dear God, that they will know that their Redeemer lives, and because he lives, they us, we can face tomorrow. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will anoint us. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will carry us. But Jesus, I ask you that you will steady us through this night rhythm. Because Lord, we are tired, the curtains of today are closing, the sun has fallen. But right now, Lord, as the moon is shining in the heavens above, I pray that you will carry us to the next destination. I pray that the Spirit of the Lord will be over you, that you will find deep rest, a secure covering in Jesus Christ, and you will know that Jesus Christ has your
