now. We're coming out of the book of Psalms 94, verse 19. This is the title. We are praying for night anxiety, we're praying for overthinking, and we are praying for peace in this very present time in which we are

breathing. Holy God, Jesus, calm my thoughts and fill me with your comfort in this quiet hour. Holy Spirit, this quiet hour, Lord, this unusual rhythm of the early doors. Holy Spirit, we come to you right now. We need calm for our thinking. Lord, we need, dear God, these racing thoughts, these fears of the nights. Lord, we need peace. Lord, we are over-engineering our life through the power of thought. Lord, right now we come to you. Lord, and we lean in to the beautiful book of Psalm 94, verse 19. When anxiety was great within me, you counseled me and brought me joy. Holy God, that you are. We come to you again right now. And Lord, we pray out of that great book, The Prayers of David, Psalm 94, verse

Naming Night Worries And Fear

19. When anxiety was great within me, holy God, when anxiety is great within us, when the fear of the early day, the commute, the life, the family issues, the workspace issues, Lord, relationships, finances, money, the price of the barrel of oil, Lord, the forecall price for diesel and petrol, the food, the worry, paying the mortgage, Father, paying the rent, the Holy Spirit, Lord, these hours. Father, we are tired. And will you remove this night anxiety, this overthinking, Lord? We don't want to go into overload. Lord, we need help in our overthinking. Help us to stop overthinking and over-engineering every situation. Lord, our mind is racing and we are laying still. Holy Spirit, we are sitting still and our mind is racing. Lord, through these quiet hours, sometimes, Lord, these quiet hours can be very agitating. Lord, we don't like the stillness. Father, the stillness, Lord, of the air around us. Father, sometimes just the darkness of the bedroom, the darkness of the front room. Father, the darkness that just feels so strong sometimes. Lord, we're praying that that breakthrough will come in our lives, that we will feel your love and your mercy. But Jesus, calm our thoughts and fill us with joy and comfort. Father, we thank you that there is power in the name of Jesus. But right now, Lord, as we stretch out from London, all the way to Lagos, all the way to Nigeria, from Nigeria to China, from China to Chile, from Chile to Mexico to Brazil. Lord, we are looking for peace. Lord, I pray for everyone under the sound of my voice. I'm asking you, God, that you will carry them right now through these early doors, these moments. Father, before the sun rises across London, holy God, that you are. Lord, will you lead us in paths of righteousness? We need your love, your saving grace, your presence in our lives. Holy God, I thank you that joy is part of our lives. Father, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the field of life. Father, from sitting on the sofa, laying in the bed, Father, just scrolling through social media. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will give us a purpose and calmness and rest.

Rest Promise And Closing Blessing

SPEAKER_00

You tell us, Father, in the book of Matthew 11, 28, come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. God is with you. Don't ever give up. Holy Spirit, please help us in our thinking. Lord, remove this over engineering of life and bring comfort in Jesus' name. God bless you. Join me at the next prayer.
