Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We're in prayer together across the globe. Let's stay connected and let's get in the journey and in the rhythm of prayer. Good morning, and uh wherever you are, it is 5 a.m. live here in London, England.
And the title of the prayer is coming out of the book of Psalms 143, verse 8. Jesus, let me hear your voice clearly and show me the way I should walk today. Holy Spirit, we call on you right now. Lord, we want to feel your love and your mercy, but we need to hear your voice clearly and show me the way that I should walk today. Father, you tell us through the word of God, the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. And right now, we need your guidance, we need to hear your voice, and we need direction for our
lives. Father, before the sun rises in the UK, Lord, before we pull the curtains back on the bedroom, Holy Spirit, before we kick the duvet off, Lord, before we hit the alarm, Lord, we need direction because Lord, we've woken up a little bit jaded, a little bit of grit in the cogs of the wheel of life. Lord, we're thinking about the stuff that is lying ahead of us. Lord, the tricky situations, the work comments, dear God, the conversations through life. Lord, we're thinking about the commuting. And Lord, we need to hear your voice. Father, I pray for everyone that is going through the valley today, everyone that's going through trials, Lord, whatever their hour, their time zone is, Father, as they are already awake, Lord, as they lay in their bed, sit on the sofa, as they're in the rhythm of their house, Lord, as they are where they are, but Lord, their mind is in front of them. Lord, we want to hear your voice. Lord, I don't want to live by my mind. I don't want to go in front of what you have for us. Lord, we want to walk in clear footsteps that you have carved for each and every one of us. But Lord, at this early door, Lord, before the sun rises, before the sun comes in through the studio window, Lord, we are praying. Lord, let this morning bring me a word from your unfailing love. Holy Spirit, we got to hear from you. Lord, I want to put our trust, my trust in you. Lord, we lean into Psalm 143, verse 8. Let the morning bring me a word of your unfailing love. For I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, so that my life can be entrusted
to you. Father, we want to hear your voice. Lord, there's a lot of noise, dear God. There's a lot of noise in the world. And Father, it is disturbing. But right now, Father, as the sun is going to rise from the four corners of the world, whatever nation, whatever tribe, whatever language, whatever color our skin is, wherever we are across the world, Father, there is a lot of noise. And Lord, we've got to hear your voice. And Lord, I pray that we will find time to pray. I pray that we will find time to read. I pray that you will give us time in our busy schedules to slot you in, Jesus. Lord, what a thing to pray. Lord, we've got to slot you in. Lord, we can't slot you in. Lord, we've got to live in the pattern of prayer. Lord, this is a lifestyle. Prayer is our lifestyle. Walking with you is our lifestyle. It is first and foremost because you tell us, seek ye first the kingdom of God and thy righteousness and everything else shall be added unto thee. Lord, I don't want to pencil you in the diary. That's a little bit rude, Jesus. Lord, I want to walk with you every second, every moment. Lord, I want to feel your love and your mercy. So, Lord, as we stretch out, Lord, let us hear your voice clearly and show us the way we should walk today.
Father, we are putting our trust in you. And as we broadcast out of London to Manila, Lisbon, Australia, Canada, Father, we pray for America. We pray, dear God, for Indonesia. We pray for breakthrough in every land, every area, every area of our lives. Holy Spirit, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the field of life, to the school run. Lord, as we pull the curtains back on today, Lord, will you strengthen us? Lord, holy God, as we hit that alarm. Father, help us kick the duvet off. But Lord, let us hear your voice clearly and show us the way we should walk today. Wherever you are, don't ever give up. God is with you. I will catch you soon.
