Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are across the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're going to pray together across
this globe. We're going to stay connected and we are going to jump straight into Psalms 4 verse 8. We're praying for reassurance, we're praying for safety, and we're praying for peace of mind. Are you tired? Are you weary? Whatever the hour is. Come on, this is the title out of Psalms 4, verse 8. Jesus, let me lie down in peace and sleep safely under the covering of you tonight. Holy God, I pray, Lord, as we lay down. Lord, as we try and fall asleep in bed, Lord, maybe on the sofa or in the chair. Lord, wherever we are, I ask you right now that you will lead us in paths of righteousness. But dear God, we lean into Psalm 4, verse 8. In peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Father, I pray that we will feel secure in the skin that we're in. I pray for those, dear God, that need a peaceful mind, that they will find that peace of mind in Jesus Christ. I thank you for the listeners that are with me right now. Everyone that is under the sound of my voice, bless them from
the crown of their head to the sole of their feet. The love of God is over your life. Jesus, help us to lay down. Help us, dear God, to curl up on the sofa. Help us, dear God, to leave the luggage of today. Dear God, help us to leave the luggage at work. Dear God, help us to leave the luggage back in the car. Help us to leave the luggage back in the world. Lord, we don't want to open our eyes and look around our lives and see luggage. We don't want to carry earlier today. We don't want to carry earlier tonight. We don't want to carry yesterday. We don't want to carry last week, last year. Every air we don't want to carry it, Jesus. That's the fact of the matter, God. Lord, we want to come to you now, Jesus. And Lord, we want to sleep in peace. Lord, I pray for the mind. I pray for that battlefield that we all have. I pray for the mindset. I pray right now that we will find that there is no anxious thought in our heart and our mind. That we will realize that we are resting in God. And Lord, we are trusting in you at these hours. We are trusting you when the sun has set across the UK. Lord, the eyelids of the UK are closing. Lord, I thank you right
now for this day. Lord, whatever we've gone through, we thank you for the day that has gone. We thank you for the trials. We thank you for the tests. We thank you for the tribulations. We thank you for the rhythm of the bounce of the day. But Lord, right now, that rhythm and that bounce is ended. That rhythm and that bounce is finished in the name of Jesus. And right now, there is a new breath. Lord, breathe in these lungs. Breathe down, dear God, the corridor of our lives. Lord, breathe in us at this hour. Lord, breathe your mercy, breathe your love, breathe that peace into this skin. Right now, Lord, we are not carrying any more luggage. Lord, we are not on a journey, Lord, where we are crisscrossing the world through society and life, carrying our luggage with us. Lord, let this luggage go. Holy Spirit, Lord, help me to let the luggage go. Help me, dear God, to drop these bags of yesterday, the bags of two years ago, the bags of four years ago, the bags of ten years ago. Lord, let us leave everything that is in our history at the cross. But Lord, I find that difficult. I find that really difficult, Lord, because my mind keeps reminding me. So Lord, will you work in our minds? Lord, will you work, dear God, in the fabric of these minds in this wasteland, the battlefield of the mind? From London to America, from America to Venezuelia, from Venezuelania to Israel. The Spirit of the Lord is over your life. Don't ever give up. Whatever you are battling, God is with you. Join me at the next prayer.
