Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are across the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We're going to pray across the globe. We're going to stay connected at this hour and we're going to journey. And the journey is prayer. We're going to lock in together. Come on, I know you're tired. I know we're weary. We've had a long old day today, but wherever you are across the world, we're going to jump straight into Psalm 121.
And this is the title. Jesus, watch over me and keep me safe as this night begins. Father, Holy God, Jesus, we come to you. And will you watch over us, Lord, as we stretch out into the Word of God? Lord, we need to feel safe at this hour. Lord, we need to feel your protection, your covering. Lord, we need this night peace. Lord, our eyes are tired. Lord, the eyelids are closing. Holy Spirit, we come to you. And Lord, we lean in and we pray through Psalm 121, verse 7. The Lord will keep you from all harm. He will watch over all of your life. Father, we thank you that you watch over all of our lives. And I pray as we lie down, Lord, as we lay down, Lord, as we get on the sofa, Lord, we get tucked up in bed, whatever the hour is, Lord, as this night begins, Lord, I ask you right now, Lord, as this day comes to a close, Lord, we need your presence.
Lord, I pray right now that we won't be exposed to fear, to worry, and to doubt. Lord, that you will watch over our lives. Every second, every heartbeat, Lord, we need Jesus. We come to the cross of Calvary. Lord, we're tired, we're weary. Lord, we got battle fatigue. We're exhausted. Lord, today has been a long day, and we need your protection. We need the protection power of the Holy Spirit. We need the covering of our Lord Jesus Christ. And we need the peace, dear God, as this night begins. Holy Spirit, I pray that we will close the laptop on today. Lord, that we will close the lid on today. Lord, as our eyes are tired, Father, as we crisscross the globe, as we lock in together, Lord, I pray that we will feel safe tonight. Lord, that you will watch over us, that our God, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nisi, will watch over each and every one of us. Father, we come to you right now. We need protection from fear.
Lord, as that fear starts to bubble, as the doubts start to rise, as we stretch out from London all the way to New York, all the way to Madrid and Barcelona, Father, we pray right now for Brazil and Chile and Colombia. We pray, dear God, for breakthrough around the world. But Lord, as our eyelids are closing, Lord, this night prayer, we're praying for protection and covering. We're praying for peace, Lord, as this night begins. Holy Spirit, from all the battles, from all the fears, from all the doubts, from all the worries, from just, dear God, the general run of life, the general run, dear God. I pray, Lord, that we
come to you. And Lord, at this hour, Lord, we will just literally just slip into sleep right now. Lord, that we will just slip into a beautiful sleep. And you will carry us through this night. You will carry us, Lord, that this night prayer, Lord, will bring calm to our hearts, peace to our mind. Father, I pray that we will not look, dear God, at the situations around the world, but we will focus on Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior. Lord, you tell us through the great book, through the prayers of David, Psalm 121, verse 7. The Lord will keep you from all harm. He will watch over your life. Father, we need you to watch over us from every corner, from every battle, from every trial. Father, as we try to rest now, as we lay, dear God, on the bed. Lord, as we've just got onto the sofa, to the chair. Lord, I ask you, Father, that you will bring peace and you will bring hope. And Jesus, watch over us and keep us safe as this night begins. Wherever you are, don't ever give up. God is with you. God bless.
