Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and a part of the rhythm of your day. We're going to stay locked together across the globe. We're going to get connected and we're going to jump straight into the power of prayer. Prayer changes everything. Prayer changes me. Prayer changes us, and let's get straight in.
We're in Psalm 62, Psalm 62, verse 1. This is the title. Jesus, lead me into stillness and let my soul find rest in you.
Oh Father. Lord, if there's ever a night, if there's ever a moment, Lord, if there's ever a night prayer that we need the gentleness of the Holy Spirit, Lord, we stretch out from the four corners of the world. Lord, we are praying, dear God, for gentle peace, for rest right now. Lord, this night prayer, Lord, will you carry us through the night? Lord, will you remove the night anxieties, the fears? Lord, the restlessness, the thoughts. Father, Lord, we have a terrible sleep pattern. And Lord, we need this sleep pattern to be corrected. Will you calm every mind and will you quieten every heart of this hour? Lord, we lock in, Lord, to the power of prayer. And we come to the cross of Calvary. And Jesus, lead me into stillness and let my soul find rest in you. Father, we need the
rhythm of heaven. Lord, we need the rhythm of our God. We come to you now. And Lord, we lean in and we pray through the beautiful book of David, the Psalms of David. Lord, we pray through Psalm 62, verse 1. Truly, my soul finds rest in God. My salvation comes from Him. Truly, He is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress. I will never be shaken. Father, I thank you. Whatever life, dear God, brings to the table of our situations, Lord, we will never be shaken because our God, Jehovah Jairah, Jehovah Nisi, Lord, our soul finds rest in you. You are our rock. You are our place of safety. And right now we pray that we will rest in the steadiness of the
word. Father, as we stretch out, as we broadcast across London, right away to Los Angeles, all the way to Lisbon and Australia. Father, all the way to New York, from New York, all the way to Brazil or Mexico, Colombia, all the way around, dear God, the world. Father, we thank you that we lock in. And right now, Lord, through this nighttime prayer, I pray that you'll sustain us. Jesus, lead me into stillness. Holy Spirit, lead us into stillness. Father, lead us into a place of rest. Lord, because we feel agitated, Lord, these thoughts, Lord, we've got restless thoughts right now. We can't sleep. Lord, we need a calm mind. Lord, we are quiet in our heart. Lord, the anxiety is rising. Father, it feels like a powerful volcanic eruption about to just explode. Lord, we need you. Father, you are the rock of all ages. You are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi. And Lord, we lean in and we pray together. Lord, we hold each other up right now through this night prayer. And we say, Jesus, Lord, as we pray through Psalm 62, Lord, we believe in the power of the word. Truly, my soul finds rest in God. My salvation comes from Him. Truly, He is the rock of my salvation. He is my refuge. I will never be shaken.
Father, I thank you for every listener that is with me now. I pray as they go through the battles of life, the turbulence of life, the ins and the outs, the ups and the downs and the rhythm. Lord, this night prayer, Lord, this night time. Thank you, Father, that you are refreshing our soul. And we come to you right now. And Father, I thank you that the listeners are finding rest. We come to the stillness of our God. Holy Spirit, bless everyone from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet. May God bless you. I'll catch you soon.
