Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. We're going to pray together. It is the night time. We are praying for this night prayer. We are praying that God will give us peace and hope. We're going to find rest in his presence. God is with you.
We are praying out of the great book of Matthew 11, verse 28. This is the title, Jesus. I surrender completely and rest fully in you tonight. Father, I thank you as we rest fully in you. As we sit, dear God, on the crest of a wave of another night. Lord, as we pray, Lord, as we lock in together, we carry one another. Lord, we don't know each other's name. We don't know where we live. We don't know what the vibe has been today, but Lord, we lock in by the power of prayer. And Lord, we know that there are tens of thousands of us praying together right now. That we are coming to the cross. Lord, I pray for this night prayer. Lord, that it will penetrate my skin and our
skin. But Jesus, I want to surrender completely and fully rest in you tonight. Lord, whatever the rhythm of today has been, Lord, I ask you right now, through this prayer, this surrender prayer, Lord, I surrender to you. Lord, we want deep rest. Lord, help us to let go completely. Lord, of the rhythm of work, the rhythm of life, the rhythm of culture, the rhythm of social media, Holy Spirit, I pray, Lord, that we will get into the presence of the King. But Lord, I ask you that Matthew 11, 28 will carry us through this nighttime. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Father, we thank you. You are the place that we will find true rest. Lord, I'm asking that we will sleep in peace. I'm believing we're sleeping in peace. Yes, Lord, we are going to sleep in
peace. And Lord, as the nighttime comes, dear God, as the darkness falls over the nations, Lord, as the curtains close on today, Lord, as we close the laptop lid, dear God, on this day, Father, I pray that we will breathe and we will rest in peace. So Lord, whatever the time zone is, wherever we are, from the battles to the trials, to the inner battles to the outer battles, Father, from the fears, dear God, to the mountaintop experiences. Lord God, to the base experiences. Lord, whatever we are going through, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the shopping trolley, from the shopping trolley to the van, to the school run, dear God, wherever we are, whatever is going on in our lives, Father, we need deep rest in the greatest name in heaven and earth. And Jesus, we surrender completely. And Lord, that can be so difficult. We are tired. Lord, as the curtain closes on this day, Lord, as the laptop, dear God, loses its battery. Thank you, Lord, that the laptop is dying. Thank you, Lord, that the laptop, dear God, we close the lid on work. We close a lid on worry. We close a lid on life. We close a lid on everything, and we just breathe a moment. Father, I thank you that there is power. And Lord, when we're weary and we're burdened, we can only come to Jesus because you are the way, the truth, and the life.
And Holy Spirit, wherever we are across this world, from London to Barcelona, from Barcelona all the way to Chile, to Colombia, to America, Father, to Australia, all the way through India and Indonesia. We are praying for an outpouring. We're praying for the glory. We're praying for the rhythm of God. But Lord, as we pedal out of this night prayer, Spirit of the living God, I pray that we come to you. All of us that are weary and burdened, and you will give us rest wherever you are across the
